Chapter Six.

Leila felt electricity course through her veins at Lycan Christian's words. She clenched her fist tight and tried to slow down her rapid heartbeat.

"Excuse me, did you hear anything of what I just said?" Lycan Christian had a puzzled look on his face and he could not tell Leila's expression because her back remained turned against him. Lelia took it as a hint to run. She grabbed onto the hands of her kids and began to run. 

Lycan Christian stood still, his eyes remained fixated on Lelia as he slowly watched her disappear from his sight. Neon had suggested that he stop her but Lycan Christian had other plans in mind.

"Where have you seen her before Sir?" Neon asked, his brows arched at his Alpha in curiosity. Lycan Christian squinted his eyes as he tried to resurface his memories but everything only seemed to become more complicated. Instead he decided to stick to his plan.

He turned to gaze at Neon, his voice commanding and authoritative. "I have a task for you Neon." He started, Neon nodded his head in agreement, his curiosity never disappeared from his facial expression.

"I want you to gather enough information about that woman. I need answers about her, tell me every single detail you can find about her." Lycan Christian ordered. Neon nodded his head in agreement, he felt the urge to push further and ask but he knew that his Alpha had better reasons behind his request, all he did was succumb.

"Alright Sir."Neon said, bowing his head at Lycan Christian in acknowledgment to his Alpha's request. Neon escorted Lycan Christian out of the airport. They stopped by at a five star hotel where they were to pass the night before eventually settling down.

It was Nightfall already and Lycan Christian's mind had not Lelia and her kids. He was reminded of Zinnia's eye colour, just like his. She had the exact same emerald eyes. Lycan Christian could not shudder off the thought of Lelia and her kids.

As he laid comfortably on the bed, he stared into space. Lycan Christian struggled with insomnia a lot. Most times when it was time to sleep, Lycan Christian would either read a book or treat certain pack affairs delicately. Tonight, he had something on his mind and that was Lelia. She was enough to occupy his mind until the next morning.

Neon wasted no time, he could sense the urgency in Lycan Christian's request. He set out immediately to gather information about Lelia. It took a few days for him to find something about Lelia regarding the fact that she was a very secretive person and often dealt with her things privately.

Lycan Christian was resting comfortably in his study room when Neon had interrupted his thoughts with a small knock.

"Come in." Lycan Christian yelled, a bored look plastered on his face. Neon stepped into the study room, he bowed his head and slowly approached Lycan Christian.

"I have news about the lady you asked me to gather information on. Would you like to hear about it now or shall I return later?" Neon asked. Lycan Christian's ears perked at the thought of Lelia. He felt excited about just thinking of her.

"Tell me Neon, what did you find out about her and her kids?" He asked, he leaned closer to the table and diverted his full attention to what Neon was about to rant about.

"Her name is Leila Ryvan and she has triplets, I do not know of their father but I do know that she was divorced to the Alpha of the green field pack, Alpha Enzo." Neon started.

Lycan Christian's face furrowed into confusion and his memories began to resurface. The word divorce was enough to trigger his memories and navigate it back to the night he had sex with her. They had a one night stand and since Neon could not tell who the father of the triplets were, Lycan Christian was quick to put two and two together.

"Those kids must be mine." Lycan Christian muttered to himself, his voice was low and barely above a whisper. He nodded his head in agreement as he felt excitement surge through him. It was a good thing to him, Lycan Christian felt excited at the thought of that.

"Shall I continue Alpha? Or..." Neon trailed off with a raised brow. He tried to comprehend the excited look on Lycan Christian's face but his Alpha had always been someone with a complex expression. It was always hard to see right through him.

Lycan Christian on the other hand was the only one who could understand the excitement he was feeling. The memories of his one night stand with Leila replayed in his head and if truly the kids were his then he saw it as an opportunity to claim Leila as his own.

She brought him comfort that night and Lycan Christian would kill for such a night like that. She was the one who made him able to sleep. Leila's presence took his insomnia away that night, her presence was gold to Lycan Christian and he was going to obtain it at all costs.

He tucked his hands into his pocket and fetched the five hundred dollar notes that Leila had given to him that time. Lycan Christian cherished it and he often took it everywhere with him. It felt like a good luck charm.

His hands caressed the five hundred dollar note, he kept thinking about Leila and everything about her amused him. He remembered her charisma that night and it made him chuckle out loudly. 

He smiled, blocking out Neon's ranting on Leila's personal life. He had already gotten the answer he needed, to know whether the kids belonged to him or not. Lycan Christian smiled enthusiastically and cleared his throat at Neon.

"Enough." He ordered. Neon kept quiet and patiently waited for his Alpha's next command.

"Bring that woman to me Neon, she is mine now."
