Chapter Four.

The ringing of Leila's phone woke her up from her sleep.

With her eyes closed, she stretched her arm to get her phone which was on the drawer close to the bed the previous night.

She successfully fetched the phone and slid it green before picking up the call.

“ Hello,” her voice came out in front of a growl.

“ Where on earth are you?” The yell from the other end of the call, caused Leila's eyes to fly open.

The voice belonged to Bluey and her best friend would kill her if she set her eyes on her.

“ Bluey, I can explain.” 

Leila sat upright on the bed dramatically, that one would think she was explaining to her boyfriend, or rather her husband why she slept out.

“ Leila, I give you ten minutes, come to my place.” With that said, Bluey hung up and Leila wasted no time in rushing down from the bed.

She knew what her best friend was capable of doing.

She would be dead if she happens not to meet up by that ten minutes.

Trying not to wake the stranger while she had a one night stand, Leila tiptoed around the hotel room like a thief.

She threw her clothes on, and dragged her luggage with her.

Leila didn't care about her messy hair or her smudged face, her concern was to get to Bluey’s house before that ten minutes.

She was already outside the hotel room when she realised she didn't pay the stranger.

Running into the room, she threw $500 notes on the bed and rushed out like she was being chased.

Upon getting to the road, Leila flagged down a taxi, heading towards Bluey's apartment.

When the sun slipped through the curtain and made contact with the stranger's eyes, he groaned softly and opened his eyes.

Turning to the right side of the bed, he couldn't find Leila, causing him to frown.

“ Did she regret it already?” He smirked and sat upright.

“ Such an interesting lady. She even left a $500 bill for me.” He let out a chuckle before heading towards the bathroom.

The ringing of his phone made him turn around and picked it up.

“ Alpha,” came a deep voice from the other end of the phone.

“ I'm at the door to your hotel room.” 

“ Was that why you called me, Neon? You couldn't knock?” The stranger frowned.

“ You hate when people knock at your door.” Neon reminded me.

“ Whatever.” He rolled his eyes and walked towards the door to open it.

A tall man with grey hair and chiselled jawline walked in.

He was dressed in a suit, holding an Ipad in his hand.

“ Good morning Lycan Christen.” The tall man supposed to be Neon bowed his head.

“ Good morning. What's on my schedule today?” Lycan Christen asked.

“ You have a press conference at NY media today.” Neon replied.

Lycan Christen nodded and headed towards the bathroom to take his bath.

“ Whose $500 bill is this?” Neon asked, looking at the money sprawled on the bed.

“ Someone interesting gave it to me.” He chuckled.

Upon arriving at Bluey’s apartment in eight minutes, Leila exhaled in relief.

Despite being once the Luna of Green Field Pack, Bluey, her best friend, never treated her like one.

“ Took you so long to get here.” Bluey smirked as she opened the door.

Leila smiled and bit her lips.

“ Aren't you coming in?” Bluey laughed.

“ I wonder how we became friends. I'm really afraid of you when you get angry. You're really scary.” Leila muttered and dragged her luggage into the apartment.

“ Why are you here with your luggage?” Bluey frowned.

“ We've gotten a divorce. Enzo already impregnated another lady and didn't see a need to keep me as his wife so he divorced me.” Leila muttered as she sat on the sofa.

 “ Are you for real? Finally! You can enjoy your life girl!!!” Bluey exclaimed happily.

“ So where did you spend the night?”

“ In a hotel. I had a night stand with a random stranger.” Leila muttered, causing Bluey's eyes to widen like the size of an orange.

“ What? You did what? Are you crazy?” Bluey yelled, almost bringing down the roof of the apartment.

“ Stop shouting.” Leila muttered.

“ What if you get pregnant, Leila? For heaven sake, you don't even know this guy!” 

“ I won't get pregnant. He didn't pour his seeds into me, so I'm good.” Leila replied.

“ You better pray so.”

TWO MONTHS LATER

It's been two months since Alpha Enzo divorced Leila.

She was trying to move on and Bluey also helped in getting a job for her.

Lately, she was feeling sick and couldn't do her job properly and as such, her boss told her to take a week off and take care of herself.

Bluey advises Leila to go see a doctor as her sickness was getting worse by the day.

Upon getting to the hospital, the attending doctor did some tests and an hour later, she was called to his office to hear the result of the test.

Leila sat down on a chair in his office, feeling a little nervous.

“ Miss Leila, I have some news for you,” the doctor said with a smile, causing Leila to wonder what the news was about.

What news could make the doctor smile?

“ You're pregnant.” 

Leila was beyond shocked.

Pregnant? But how?

Her mind went to the night stand with the stranger two months ago.

She was sure that he didn't pour his seeds into her, so how then did she get pregnant?

“ But Enzo hasn't had sex with me for a year now.” She said inwardly.

She was still dwelling in her thoughts when the doctor said something more surprising.

“ You're not just pregnant, you're pregnant with triplets.” Leila’s mouth opened wide.

Triplets? Three babies? She couldn't believe it.

Leila began to think about how her life was going to change.

She would be a mother of three babies in less than eight months.

The thought of it alone, made her dizzy.

“ Congratulations once again, Miss Leila.” The doctor flashed her a smile.
