~Bobbie~

~Last night~

“I’m Adonis, and I’ll make you happy, Athena.”

“Sorry, Bobbie,” Mel muttered beside me. “I can’t do this thing alone.”

“It’s your bachelorette party, Mel,” I groaned and shivered when I felt a calloused hand grazing my knee. “You’ll be sorry for this later, Melissa,” I hissed, and again, the hands drew circles on my inner thigh, rising higher and higher. Mel was moaning beside me, and I could hear the girls giggling and laughing gingerly.

Those same hands now held both of mine and guided it somewhere in front of me. My hands came against a warm solid skin - very toned skin must be his chest. He guided my hands down to his abs, and he has a good pack, 8 packs I counted.

“Oh God,” Mel moaned beside me, and I could feel my cheeks heating.

“Feel me, Athena.” Adonis’s breath fanned my neck. His tongue gently grazed my earlobe as he spoke. He guided my hands lower to that part where it should be private, but he’s willingly offering them to me. Adonis was rock hard and fucking big. He allowed my hand to grip his erection. “You did this to me.” I bit my lip, gripping his length, and I heard him groan. “Fuck.”

He took off my blindfolds, and my eyes needed to adjust to the dimmed light, but I felt soft lips caressing mine. It was not a sensual one; it was just lips to lips, and ocean-grassy eyes met mine when I opened them. Adonis grinned wickedly as he pecked my lips again.

“Man…” the other guy, dirty dancing over Mel, spoke. “That wasn’t part of the act.”

“It’s hard not to kiss a goddess,” Adonis said before he held my hand and guided me where Candice was. He took another girl from the group, but I didn’t see him kiss them on the lips. Was that even legal?

“Shit,” Candice murmured.

“What?” I looked into the phone she was staring at, and I could see notification after notification, mainly from Matt and Damon, but my phone kept vibrating. It was Jake. Putting my phone on silent mode, I continued to enjoy the party.

We are in the cab now, yet the party is far from over. We have other clubs to go to, but mostly nightclubs. Mel’s teasing was infuriating me. He couldn’t stop laughing about how my cousin and brother reacted to the video they put online. I’m twenty-five, for crying out loud, not fourteen. I can kiss whoever I want.

“Stop laughing, or you’ll be sorry, Mel,” I warned, but she continued. I knew she was drunk, that she didn’t mean to be so mean, but I hate that they’re treating me like a child. “You won’t stop, don’t you?”

“No,” she chortled. “Matt’s going to kill that Adonis.” I gave her a warning look, but she didn’t budge. She only stopped when she saw how seriously annoyed I was. “What are you doing?” She trembled as I closed in the distance between our bodies. She was wearing a very, very low-cut white cocktail dress, and she gasped when I kissed the valley of her breast. There were only four of us in this cab, Tina on shotgun, while Candice and I sandwiched Mel. I made sure to leave a kiss mark on her chest, and her cheeks were heating like fire.

“Who’s Matt going to kill now?” I smirked, and she punched me in the shoulders. She tried to hide the kiss mark with her sash, but the deed was done, and I’m the one laughing now.

~Now~

Mel’s eyes were wide as a saucer as I laughed, remembering what happened last night. She breathed fire, and steam pumped from her ears and nose. She took a pillow, hitting me over and over until she was laughing with me, too.

“I hate you, Bobbie,” she crossed her arms over her chest, but she’s biting her lip to stop herself from laughing.

“I know, now go shower, and I’ll bring you breakfast,” I walked out of the room to the kitchen, where I saw everyone anxiously waiting for my explanation. I told them she just had wedding jitters, and she’s okay now.

After breakfast, the girls got ready with their makeup and gowns. I was slightly anxious because, after the ceremony, I had to give my speech. It was more dreadful than speaking to my foundation’s sponsors.

When everyone was ready, I went to check up on Matt. I gave him a big hug before returning to my room after wishing him luck.

When I opened my bedroom door, it surprised me to see Jake sitting on the side of my bed, looking out the window. His tawny eyes turned on me when he heard the door closed, and I can’t help but admire how good-looking he was. The suit he had on and his ash-blond hair looks so sexy in that messy taper style.

He eyed me up and down before smiling sweetly. I returned his smile, barely, before rummaging to my drawers, looking for the earrings I wanted to pair with my gown.

“Hey,” Jake stood behind me, rubbing my bare arms up and down, which made it hard for me to concentrate on finding these earrings.

“Hey,” I replied as I took out the box and went into the vanity mirror in my bathroom.

“For you.” He handed me a purple velvet box.

“For what?” taking the box in his hand. It was a necklace with a bit of ruby stone as its pendant.

He scratched the back of his neck. One thing he does when he’s nervous. “It’s actually for your birthday, but I never got the chance to give it.”

“Thanks.” I took out the necklace and admired the little red gem. It wasn’t an imitation, and I knew it cost a reasonably high price.

“May I?” he offered, and I handed the necklace to him. I pulled my Victorian-styled hair to the side as he locked the chain. That gentle graze of his fingers on bare skin didn’t skip my senses. My eyes closed as he planted a kiss on my shoulder. “Pretty.”

I opened my eyes only to be met by his dilated ones. “Thank you.” He gave me a sly smile.

“Will you be my date?” He asked with hopeful eyes.

I bit my lip, enjoying this moment with him. Maybe Priya is right. I should give Jake and me a shot. Only time will tell if we are meant for each other. But if I keep pushing him away, I will never know.

“Sure,” I mumbled, my eyes mirroring that hopeful look as well.

Grief. An unwelcome feeling that is quenching my heart. The dusk overseeing my window is mirroring how I feel, cold and aloof. ~~ Seven forty am. It will take me about three minutes to walk into my first class, hopefully. I’m clutching Rover’s steering wheel so tight that my knuckles turn white. It had been three weeks since my grandparents died in a car accident. Apparently, mourning can’t take forever like I wanted. Here I am, in front of the school that used to be my second home. Most of the kids my age would think of school as hell - not me - not until now. I hate to face everyone and see pity in their eyes, which would definitely be hell. Deep breaths, in and out. After changing into my jeans and sweater, I walked to the bleachers, watching the football team’s practice. Jake was in his element whenever he’s in the field. His love for football is the same way I love cheering, and I know the news of me leaving the team for a while will break his heart. The same way it did mine. He gave me a toothy grin and waived like a kid when he saw me. I blew him a kiss and his teammates teased him like they’re children. Jake is showy of his affection when it comes to me, unlike his previous relationships. Girls were practically falling at his feet. I saw him make out with girls in the hallway, cafeteria, gym, field, and even at classrooms and janitors’ closets. He is practically everywhere with a girl clinging on his neck like a snake. Different girls every week and sometimes, every day. I don’t approve of what he did, but I also do

I hopped back into my Land Rover with a grin plastered on my face. West’s residence is a five-minute drive away, and I knocked gleefully before I was lifted into the air by big muscular arms.“Bobbie,” Jack squirmed like a girl, but his voice was too deep to be a girl. “Looking good, kiddo.” He put me down and ruffled my hair.“You’re not so bad yourself, Jacky,” I said while taking his look in. He was more buff than before, he could probably crush hollow blocks with those muscular biceps. “You sure beat Dwayne Johnson in the gym, Jack!” I teased before Esther called both of our names from the kitchen.Jack took a slice of pizza while walking to the kitchen with me. “I mish twish.” He stated in a muffled voice.

Jack insisted on becoming my personal chauffeur. I knew what his agenda was. He enjoys acting all bodyguard-ish. He said he missed me too much, that is. It’s not purely lies, but it’s also not the primary reason. Jake had him on body guard duty and I just have to live with that. Girls at school were practically drooling over Jack. Who can blame them? The West brothers were oozing with confidence and hotness. The fact that they were aware of their effect on the women population doesn’t help the situation. Jack was supposed to drop me off but here he is, walking me to class, waving here and there like a Hollywood celebrity. He’s one of the best basketball players in the history of mankind - as he modestly put it in words - just like Jake is a legend in football. “Hey, Bobbie!” I know that voice, Maggie from Dance c

These men cleaned up well, but my eyes were fixed on Jake, at least when he wasn’t looking at me. He was wearing a simple polo and fitted jeans, and I think they plan to go clubbing as well. “Bobbie,” I stiffened when I heard Jake’s voice so close to me. The moment she entered the church holding Damien’s arm, wearing the dress as white as snow, it made her tanned skin stand out. That day is still vivid in my head. How that strapless gown hugged her upper body down to her waist as the skirt flowed while she walked to where I waited. It’s a magical moment.
