Damien

It was weird having someone with me at the house, but I guess, everything will change someday.

“Which room should I take?” I heard Evie as she entered the house.

“Your choice,” I said, knowing that it was impossible she would choose the one I stay in out of the sixty others.

“Well.” She sighed deeply. “You live alone?”

“The servants are gone, so yeah, I am alone right now,” I smirked and said in a tone that made her face red.

She looked down. “I-I will find some room now.”

I smiled as I watched her move toward one of the rooms.

“By the way, I would suggest looking through all the rooms and choosing the one you like!” I shouted because she was a little far away.

She looked back and nodded slowly. I smirked and went to my room, which was on the second floor.

I walked down to the first room on the right of the first floor. Remembering his smirk, my cheeks turned red. God, he shouldn’t say such things after knowing how handsome he is.

I sighed. I opened the door, and the room was really beautiful. It was like heavenly bliss! But I knew there were many more, so I decided to check others too.

One by one, I started going through all of them. When I was done with the beautiful paradise on the first floor, I decided to check out the second floor. After all, there were three floors and I wouldn’t miss any single room!

I continued to the second floor and after checking two rooms, I reached the third one. My eyes widened when I opened the door.

I saw Damien!

And the worst part — he was shirtless!

I stood frozen as he was not facing me, he was looking in the opposite direction. But I guess my shaking breath made him realize my presence and he turned around.

As he looked at me, and I looked at his abs — gosh, I swear I stopped breathing for the longest time I ever had.

He was so freaking hot!

“Well, you were the one who objected to ogling each other.”

I looked at him and as I interpreted his words, my face turned completely red due to embarrassment. He smirked. “Well?”

“I–I will be going—”

I was about to force myself to turn around and leave when he snapped his fingers. The door behind me closed with a thud and I stared at him with wide eyes.

“I have a feeling you need some time alone with me,” his smirk was still evident as he said that. He took a few steps toward me.

My breath was shaky, not because I was afraid — but the tension in the room was overwhelming.

He came closer till I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I was embarrassed, for sure, but he looked so freaking handsome and hot right now, that I couldn’t believe my eyes.

“Are you drunk?” He asked quietly.

I made a confused face. “No. Why?”

“Are you drugged?” He continued.

“No!”

“Are you in full conscience?”

“I’m not so sure about that,” I whispered slowly. “But it’s not because of any other factors but you.”

I couldn’t see him because my eyes were closed but I felt him very near me. His arms were on my both sides and he had me pinned against the door.

“Well, then, if you don’t push me away, you’re letting me in.”

I knew it was not right. Hell, it was so wrong but he was so intimidating and his fragrance was so intoxicating and it had devoured my senses completely.

I just wanted to feel him. No matter the consequences, no matter the price — I knew I had to give in. I was in my senses but I wasn’t.

“I know,” I whispered before he joined our lips.

He carried me to the bed and kept me on it. I looked at him and he smirked. He continued kissing me wildly and I kissed him back.

It wasn’t a shock when things turned wilder and more got out of control. I didn’t regret anything and he didn’t think twice.

The time flew by and hours turned into an entire night. The darkness out of the window turned to the morning light when I heard the water running in the shower nearby.

I sat up and looked around. Everything was the same, the world would’ve been the same, but so much changed for me.

The water closed and I saw him coming out of the bathroom. His smirk, after so long, was still the same.

“You up?”

I sighed. “Yeah.”

“Well, that was a blast, wasn’t it?” He took another towel to wipe his soft hair, “You wanna shower?”

“I should.” I got up. I was wearing his shirt. Of course, I was still thinking of how I ended up like this after everything.

After so many things that had happened to me, it was so unusual for me to do such a thing but for Damien, it seemed to be normal.

It feels so worthless when it means nothing to the other.

I pushed my thoughts aside and went to have a hot shower. I had no idea of our relationship from here.

_______________

I came out and found the room empty. I guess he already went downstairs. After simply combing my hair, I went down too.

He was sitting on the couch in the living room. I went and stood, realizing I was just his assistant and probably wasn’t allowed to sit down on his couch!

He looked at me and then back at his phone. “The chef has already arrived. He must be done, so you can bring the breakfast.”

I didn’t like how cold he was, but I shrugged and went to bring the food from the kitchen. After I set it up on the table in front of him, he looked at me. “Sit down.”

I nodded. We had breakfast together with no other words.

Finally, when he was done, he got up. “The headquarters will remain closed today so there’s no work today for you. You can stay here; I will lock the house for your security. Okay?”

I nodded. He made a quick call to Trevor to let him know he was coming. He was still cold, so the conversation ended before it started.

“I will see you later,” he said before he left.

____________

Damien

“No. I say we don’t delay,” I said to Trevor when he said that it was best we stayed for one hour more to recheck everything. “I think everyone here is mature enough to recheck their own stuff already.”

Most of the team agreed so we went to another state — Oklahoma. It was an almost 2 and a half-hour ride from Kansas, where I was living to the state where the meeting was taking place.

We reached before time and planned everything. We have secret bases in almost all major states and cities as a result of years of planning, so that was not an issue.

It was almost time to attack. Everyone buckled up and we decided on a plan — a plan where I would go first. It was obvious because I was his “son”.

The meeting was going down in an old abandoned warehouse. I entered the area with a gun in my hand. The other party was unknown, so I had no idea who else I would face.

I was shocked when I saw him.

“You’re partnering with him?” I was shocked and dragged their attention. They both looked at me and Lucifer took out his gun.

“Well, we got company, yeah?” He spoke and smirked. “That's your boy, Marcus?” He asked.

“Unfortunately.”

“Mind if I waste him?”

“If you can,” I said and then started shooting. Soon, a lot of people from my side and Trevor’s side came and helped me.

However, a lot of people from Lucifer’s side came too. And I mean, a lot. He was ready for this fight and I didn’t know what to do.

However, embarrassing it was, I had to leave the area in between and so did some of the people along with Trevor.

The loss was on both sides but of course, we lost.

We reached our safe base and I let out an exasperated sigh.

“Lucifer was ready. Why?” I asked around.

Trevor was treating his wound when he looked up. “I don’t know. Who could have informed him?”

My mind went over all that had happened and my eyes squinted. “Oh, I have an idea.”

“Who?”

“Where did you find Evie?”
