Evie

I looked at Damien. “What?” I asked.

“Nothing. Just no one has ever said that to me.” He looked away again.

I sighed. Should I be happy that I was the first one to say that or be sad that so many people get fooled by his facade?

“Well. So, you’re going to see your mom?”

“I can’t leave you alone.” He sighed and looked at me. “So, go downstairs and sit down quietly. I have some work to do.”

“I can take care of myself. You should go.”

He ignored my words and left for his room anyway. I sighed and went downstairs.

I remembered that I saw his password one time when he used it to open his phone. I wasn’t trying to steal his personal information — but I have the right to confirm that I am the only one he kidnaps.

Ha!

I smiled to myself thinking about all those moments. He is just so cute; I can’t believe that I am actually here with him. I mean… What do I have that is so special?

I guess I will never know.

“I’ll just work here,” I heard him say while he brought his laptop downstairs.

I smiled. What could be better — I could get to stare at him nicely. “Okay.”

He continued working while I stole some glances every now and then. It was so weird of me to do that, but who cares about that?

“Have you packed yet?” I heard him and turned around on the couch. I rubbed my eyes and realized I had fallen asleep.

“Huh?” I asked, still sleepy.

He sighed. “Have you packed?”

I processed his words. Oh crap! I forgot.

“No, I forgot,” I whispered and sat upright. “I will do it now.”

“I did it.” He smirked.

“You—what?”

“Packed your stuff. You’re late, we have to leave in fifteen minutes.”

My eyes widened. “How long did I sleep?”

“Oh, you were dreaming about some really good stuff, so you slept long enough.”

The smirk on his face made my thoughts run wild. I didn’t remember my dream — and I had no idea what he was talking about.

“What good stuff?”

“Oh, you know.” He stared at me with his beautiful orbs, “Stuff.”

As always, I got a little lost in them. However, I shook it off and sighed. “Wow, that was a really helpful explanation.”

“I know right. Get up and change your clothes now.”

I rolled my eyes. “Is it necessary?”

“Unless you want me to do that for you.”

I looked at him wide-eyed and let out an exaggerated sigh. “I will go now!”

He smirked and I ran to my room.

_________

Damien

She came down in ten minutes and I genuinely smiled at her. She was so beautiful; I couldn’t believe someone like her could exist.

“Damien, you said you packed my stuff.”

My name from her mouth sounded so beautiful. I had never liked my name so much.

“Huh?” I was a little out of my senses.

She laughed. “What, now you sleep while standing?”

I looked down and smiled. “No.”

“I was saying that you told me you packed my stuff.”

“So?” I raised an eyebrow.

“Where is it?”

“Oh, I packed you. See.” I picked her up quickly and she gasped.

“Dami—”

“Shh.” I looked at her. Her face was so close to mine, making me want to get closer. But I knew I shouldn’t do that. It wasn’t right. It wasn’t good.

I smirked and took her to my car. After I put her down in the passenger’s seat, she looked enraged.

“What was that?” she asked.

I chuckled. “Something you’ve always wanted me to do.”

She scoffed but a small smile spread on her lips. I smiled to myself and sat down on the driver’s seat, starting the drive to the airport.

“But seriously, where’s the stuff?” She asked after a few moments.

I looked at her. “I didn’t pack. You can buy new stuff there. I have heard Vietnam has extremely good quality clothes.”

“Have you?”

“Maybe.” I turned my eyes to the road.

_______________

Trevor

“And where’s he?”

“We have no idea.”

“You said his car left a few minutes ago. You didn’t follow him or what?” I shouted on the phone.

“We followed him, sir. He stopped at his private airport. It was impossible to get more information.”

I exhaled a rageful sigh.

“I know what to do. Set up a meeting with Marcus. Meet him and tell him that I need to talk about some stuff.”

There was a small silence. “W-Will do, boss.”

I kept the phone down. If that’s what I will need to do, then fine.

“I never thought we’d meet like this and that it would be this peaceful, Trevor.”

I heard Marcus as I walked inside the big room. I looked at him and somehow, his face made me so angry.

I suppressed my emotions.

“Right. I need your help.”

“I have waited for this day for a while. What is this about?”

“Evie Davies. I want her dead.” I looked at him to read his emotions, but there was no facial expression on his ugly face.

“And why would that be?”

“That is none of your business. This is a business deal. I help you and you help me. I will owe you one if you help me.”

He thought for a while and then smirked.

“Very well. However, then, I will need you to find another woman for him. Till then, I will discuss this plan with Lucifer.”

Hearing his name made me shiver. I knew this wasn’t right — but I had no other way. Setting Lucifer and Marcus behind Damien and Evie could be a huge mistake but it was a necessary evil.

“Deal.”

The meeting was over and I returned back to my house.

_________

Marcus

I contacted Lucifer and went to meet him at his base. It was a good deal — it was really good to make him owe me one. So, it was best if I completed my end of the deal first so he would be obliged to help me once before he changed his mind.

I went inside Lucifer’s base and sat down across from him.

“And what plan do we have this time?” He asked while smoking a cigarette.

I didn’t know his thoughts on this, so I went straight ahead with full confidence. After sitting comfortably, I slowly uttered, “Evie needs to die.”

As I said this, he stopped smoking and I raised my eyebrow.

“What did you say?” He asked, his tone threatening.

I was a little scared. “Uh, that Evie—”

He took out his gun and I stood up, afraid. “You really should watch your mouth.”

Before I could say anything, a bullet fired from his gun and hit me right in the middle of my forehead and then, everything turned black.

Evie I was taken aback by his sweet gesture. We had been close for a while but things were getting better day by day, and my hopes were starting to touch the sky. "I-I will make this right—"I took out my gun and pointed it at him. His eyes widened and he took a few shaky steps back from my desk. "B-boss---""You stupid pitiful fools," I chuckled and got up.
