“But I guess you have to get ready to call me Damien.”
I looked at him as my thoughts went all over the future. I was ready to be married to him — after all, that was the condition in exchange for my safety. But I didn’t imagine anything else than marriage.
I didn’t imagine the thrill. I failed to think what I would be going through if I do that — how hard would it be to not fall for this bastard.
He sighed and took a step back. “I’ve thought about it for a while but all the plans I made seem to fail.”
I looked at him.
“I don’t think I have much of a choice anymore. I will set the wedding day soon. All the preparations will be done. To avoid any backlashes, the wedding will be done as a grand one.”
I slowly nodded my head. “But—”
He walked to his room, cutting my words in between. It was hard understanding him and it was even harder to make sense of the words he said.
_______________
Trevor
“One single girl and you can’t find her?” My voice was filled with rage.
“We know where she must be but it is out of our range, boss. We can’t force her out of there and apparently she isn’t in the mood to come out on her own.”I scoffed in frustration and ran my hand through my hair. “You’ve got to be kidding me. I will talk to him myself.”
Everyone nodded and fear was evident in their eyes. They didn’t want to see me and Damien against each other — but if fate wants it, I am not going to stop it.
I picked up my phone and dialled his number. He picked it up at first beep.
“What’s up Trev?” He said in a normal voice.
I exhaled sharply. “I need Evie.”
“That’s my future wife you are talking about!” he exclaimed and I scoffed.“You? And marriage? It is not an option. You are never going to settle down.”
He stayed silent for a moment. “I will soon send you the invitation to our marriage. That way, your doubts will disappear and probably you’ll stop hunting her.”
“Why are you even on her side?” I finally asked, “She betrayed you!”
“That is the point. She didn’t. She wanted to, but—”
“Exactly! A few days ago, you would have shot someone who even thought of going against you. And now, she — who worked for Lucifer and probably helped him against you — is going to be your wife? And you are actually okay with that? What happened to your senses, Damien!?”
My words seemed to have a little effect. He stayed silent for another minute before replying: “I don’t care what you believe in. I believe her and that’s it.”
“Dami—”
The call ended and I sighed heavily. What should I even do now?

“I think it is unsafe to plan the wedding in America,” I heard Damien as he entered my room. I looked up from the bed I was sitting on.
“Huh?”“Yes.” He sat down on the couch. “Everyone must have their bases and plans ready here. I think we should take a secret passage out of the country. Somewhere safe.”
I shrugged. “It is your wish.”
“How about Russia?”“Too many mafias!” I exclaimed. He raised his eyebrow. “How do you know?”
“Have we met?” I replied and he chuckled.“Right. I am not used to people having the same knowledge about this stuff as me.”I smirked, “Well. I am not used to being around people who have any knowledge about this.”
He sighed. “France?”
“Too cliche!”He tilted his head to the side and rolled his eyes. “Vietnam?”
“Are you randomly picking them?”
“Of course. Do you think I have the time to think and plan? Idiot.”I got up and sighed. “Then choose any. Really, apart from Russia, Italy and France. The first too are dangerous and France is overrated. So?”
He got up too. “Well, Vietnam is good for me.”
“Then it is set.”I nodded with a small smile before walking over to the bathroom for a shower. I had to think a lot of things through — while trying to understand why he’d want to take me to Asia — this far from here, instead of any other countries nearby.
He was so secretive about everything and I have just so much to figure out.
_____
I came out of the shower after fifteen minutes, wrapping a towel around my body. As I was picking up my clothes, I heard a phone ring. Coincidentally, I knew that it was Damien’s — because it definitely wasn’t mine.
I left the clothes on the bed and walked over to the table.
‘Amara’
I was confused by the name. Of course I wouldn’t pick it up, but I was so curious to know who it was.
“Is it mi—”
I heard Damien’s voice and I turned around towards the door. His eyes landed on me and I felt his deep gaze checking me out.
He eyed me from up to down for a good minute and the phone stopped ringing.
“I-I should wear—” I wanted to escape his penetrating gaze but he took a few dominating steps towards me, which made me freeze in my position.I looked at him: “W-What are you doing?”He came closer and looked into my eyes. I looked back into those beautiful orbs, the ones that had always fascinated me.
He tucked a hair strand behind my ears and his touch gave me goosebumps. My cheeks were red and hot.
“B-Boss—”
“It is Damien from now.”I took a few deep breaths as I processed that. Damien. I should call him by his name?
I looked down.
His hand reached out to my jaw and he made me look at him again. “So?” He said in a deep voice.
“D-Damien, I should—”“You shouldn’t.”I gulped down. He was intimidating. Even to me.
“But—”
“Shh,” He kept a finger on my lips and I shut up immediately. He leaned in and kissed the side of my mouth, making my skin crawl.
I couldn’t say or do anything because it took all of my concentration to breathe evenly — and I was constantly failing. His hot breath lingered on the nape of my neck for a few seconds before he took a step back and looked away. “Yeah, you should dress up.”
I hurriedly picked up my clothes and went to the bathroom, while I think he was on the phone.
What does he want with me? Why does he behave so strangely when he’s near me? And who is Amara?
Evie“Who was she?” I asked as I sat down on the bed.He looked at me with confusion. “What do you care about?”“Well, I am getting married to you.”He smirked. “I thought this was, and I will quote ‘kidnapping with permission’?”I rolled my eyes. “It sure is. I just want to make sure I am the only one you kidnap.”He chuckled. “Wow, you’re interesting.”“I know right. And I am so damn beautiful. Ain’t I, Damien?”His gaze shifted to my lips for a second, as if reminiscing our last encounter, and then he looked away. “Yeah, beautiful chicks dig me.”I raised my eyebrow. “Why is that plural?”“Why are you jealous?” He looked at me again and I sighed.Well
Evie I looked at Damien. “What?” I asked.“Nothing. Just no one has ever said that to me.” He looked away again. I sighed. Should I be happy that I was the first one to say that or be sad that so many people get fooled by his facade? “Well. So, you’re going to see your mom?”“I can’t leave you alone.” He sighed and looked at me. “So, go downstairs and sit down quietly. I have some work to do.” “I can take care of myself. You should go.”He ignored my words and left for his room anyway. I sighed and went downstairs. I remembered that I saw his password one time when he used it to open his phone. I wasn’t trying to steal his personal information — but I have the right to confirm that I am the only one he kidnaps. Ha! I smiled to myself thinking about all those moments. He is just so cute; I can’t believe that I am actually here with him. I mean… What do I have that is so special? I guess I will never know. “I’ll just work here,” I heard him say while he brought his laptop downst
Damien We reached the airport in a few minutes and sat down in our private plane. I looked over to her and she was quite amazed. “What? Never seen a private plane before?” I couldn’t help but ask, smirking. She rolled her eyes before looking around again, her beautiful eyes glistening with amazement. “Not really.” “Well, you should get used to this. Now that you’re going to be Mrs. Wright.” Her eyes flickered for a second and she looked at me, thinking about something. I could share the same emotions because the same feelings erupted inside me. Mrs. Wright. My wife. I smiled to myself. Even though the consequences leading up to right now weren’t pretty, I couldn't think how this could be anything bad. I didn’t have any problems with her — and for some reason, I thought that it was only good since I might never find someone like her again. EvieI looked at him.“I mean,” his voice was suddenly deep. “How long do you think you can control yourself around me?”I took a deep breath, trying to calm my overwhelming desire to give in.“F-Forever,” I whispered and looked away. I picked up a lamp kept on a small table to avoid his gaze but he came closer and took the lamp.“So, you have no problem if I do this.”“Do what?” I was compelled to look at him.He smirked and pulled me closer. Before I could react, he kissed me and we fell onto the bed. I kissed him back and he devoured my mouth with his tongue, making my senses go wild. His kiss was like feathers. Not only soft but so beautiful, so mesmerizing… that I was completely lost.He parted and looked into my eyes. We both breathed heavily before he kissed the side of my mouth and then kissed the nape of my neck.“Damien…” I whispered. His rasped breathing was more evident than mine. He stopped kissing me and joined our foreheads — something that made me feel that his feeling
Evie I was taken aback by his sweet gesture. We had been close for a while but things were getting better day by day, and my hopes were starting to touch the sky. Maybe he could actually be my soulmate. The one who’ll love me as much as I would love him. Maybe it didn’t have to be just a business marriage. He smiled. “Now, you should take a shower. I mean unless you want to stare at me for the rest of the time.” I blushed and sneaked a glance at his bare chest, blushing even more. He was so sexy, and he was actually… good. He made me feel safe and secure. Even after what happened with Lucifer and almost the betrayal, he thought he had, he trusted me again and I knew in my heart that I wouldn’t ever betray him. “No, I-I will shower.” I stepped back and with a smile, took my dress and went into the bathroom. I could feel his gaze on me all the while until I locked the door. ___________ Damien My fingers went through the pile of congratulatory cards in my hand. The wedding hadn’t
Damien's POV"And that is supposed to...what? Interest me?" I tilted my head in sarcasm and chuckled as I sat comfortably in my seat. "You have a death wish?"The man shivered with fear. I let out a calm breath."This is the third time you've wasted my time. You know that if you irritate me…" I left it at that because I knew my smirk was enough to complete the sentence. He had visible fear on his face. "I--I-am sorry, boss," he stuttered. "I-I will make this right—"I took out my gun and pointed it at him. His eyes widened and he took a few shaky steps back from my desk. "B-boss---""You stupid pitiful fools," I chuckled and got up. "You don't even know when to shut up, do you?"He looked down and continued taking deep breaths. I turned off the safety of my gun and he squinted his eyes."Last words?"
Damien’s POVI was just finishing up my documents when someone knocked on the door.“Come in,” I said without looking up.“Oh, Damien. Always working!”I looked up, irritated. “Why are you here?”“Don’t be such a jerk, Damien.” She walked toward me and leaned over on the table, showing her cleavage. I looked sideways and then down at my paper, shattering her intentions.“Stop working!” She said excitedly so and was about to take my document away when I caught her hand in between. “You should walk out of here,” I said with a dark voice.“You know I get really tingly when you use your threatening tone. It is so… sexy.”I was reaching my level of frustration with her.“You want to seduce me, don’t you?&rdq
Damien’s POV“The work is done, boss,” Michael — one of my people — informed me. I nodded and he left the room.I rubbed my forehead and sighed. Things have been difficult without Trevor. He wasn’t just a business partner, he was my best friend. Now, he had just… disappeared for three days.I can’t find him. I don’t even know if I should.Anyway, the work was done, so it was time to go home. I got up and as I left the cabin, my eyes fell on a woman standing near the door. I raised my eyebrow.“Do I know you?”She looked at me and gasped. “Ah— no, no sir. I–I was, uh, just…”“Calm down,” I said as I sensed how scared she was.She took a deep breath.“Y-yeah. Uh, I was… um, appointed by Mr. Trevor Hall to assist you in

I sat down on the couch, tired from being in the house all the time.It has been two days since I am locked here and God knows when I will get to

I trusted you and you failed our plan.”I scoffed. “You want to pin that on me?”“Yes, actually.” He got up. “I should’ve never called you.”“And I should've never accepted someone you hired.”“And I should’ve never told you about my fiancee because you are so fucking jealous of everything.”I chuckled. “What?”“Yes. I smirked and went to my room, which was on the second floor.&nb
