Chapter 4

I had been to his place before. Last time, the house was bustling with staff, but now, this huge villa felt empty. It was just him and me.

I arrived right on time, just as he was setting the last dish on the dining table. The air was filled with the mouthwatering aroma of home-cooked food.

He pulled out a chair for me. “Have a seat.”

I was a little taken aback by his thoughtfulness.

Felix was usually cold and distant, barely tolerating me. He had never been this warm and attentive.

Feeling a bit awkward, I scratched the back of my head and glanced at the beautifully prepared dishes. “Felix, I didn’t know you could cook like this. This is amazing.”

He looked at me. “There’s a lot you don’t know about me. You’ll find out in time.”

“...Okay.” I coughed lightly, feeling a little uneasy.

I glanced around and stood up to pour some wine, but he beat me to it, picking up the decanter and filling my glass himself.
