“Don’t be so confident. I will not allow that to happen to myself, not in this timeline.” I gritted my teeth, “Remember, you are working with my mate now.”

An overwhelming emotion spread throughout my body, I was not sure what to feel. It feels like he was trying to threaten me.

“I am not afraid of anyone, even him.” he smirked, “You should be afraid, you are powerless and weak, you can’t do anything if something happens to you without his help, I am sure.”

“You should be wary from now on, life is short, we have to live our best every day,” he added.

What he said almost caught me off guard. I don’t know why I feel more furious than being afraid of him.

“You still think lowly of me, huh?” I wanted to laugh, but a smile was the only thing I could do while facing him.

“Giovanni, you know the old me.” I paused, trying to calm myself down. “The one who keep scraping from the bottom of your feet to get some attention which I deserve was long gone before you even rejected me.
