As I stepped into the dining hall, the aroma of delicious food made my stomach rumble. I was embarrassed, but I didn’t care anymore.

The table was filled with an array of mouthwatering dishes. Alex filled my plate without me asking, insisting I needed to eat it all to get better quickly.

He gave me space for me to eat my meal while I was dying to know what he did yesterday and today.

“Sorry it took me so long to come to check on you again, it was hard to go back when we feel like we are getting closer to what almost took you away from me.” he started.

I stopped eating before putting down my fork, “You got closer? What leads did you find?” I worriedly asked.

It would be easy for them to know who was behind all those if I said something, but I don’t know what Giovanni is exactly planning.

I have to be extra cautious with my movements. He already started his moves, I had to make sure no one I cared about would get involved.
