The next day came by. Pau managed to calm me down that night and I was able to sleep, Alex did not come to bid me good night.

I guess he was preoccupied with whatever his beta aligned with him. I was still over the moon, I know I should’ve said something last night.

But I was just so overwhelmed with his confessions, how can I tell him that I fell for him despite not having this bond connection with him?

“You’re smiling ear to ear again.” I heard Pau say, chuckling while she was getting me some glass of water.

I pouted, feeling my cheeks warming up. “Sorry, I am causing you so much trouble for looking after me in a state like this, I-I just couldn’t help it.”

Pau shook her head, “I wanted to tell you last night that I was so worried about you, but I didn’t want to cut off your train of thoughts about the Alpha.”

I flinched with her statement, causing her to burst into laughter, “You’re too easy to read, Luna. But I am glad you are alright.”
