Alexis's POV

I wanted to laugh and ask her if I looked like I cared but I wasn’t interested in whatever this was.

“What do you want?” I asked her with a straight face.

The lady walked closer, her lips curling into a mocking smile.

“What do I want? Oh, nothing much. Just to remind you of your place.” She said.

I could feel my anger rising. I knew she was trying to provoke me and to mark her territory but I wasn’t about to give her the satisfaction. I was here against my wish.
