Alexis's POV

“You do not have a choice. It's been decided.” Alpha Kane scoffed. “Soon, a Luna ceremony will be held.”

“I won't be yours.” I growled.

“Like I said before, you do not have a say.” He said, “The sooner you accept it, the easier things will be for you.” He added.

“I would like to speak to my parents. It's the least you can do for me.” I blurted out.

“The sooner you accept that your parents gave you away, the better it will be.” He said.

“You’re full of shit.” I scoffed. “Now you're bringing my parents into your little game.”

“Your parents are keeping a lot from you than you know,” he said smoothly. “I'm done talking about this. Now eat.”

I clenched my fists under the table. I knew what he was doing, trying to manipulate me, to get me to lower my guard. But I wasn’t going to let him mess with my parents' image.

After a few moments of silence, Alpha Kane finally spoke again.
