Chapter 68

Alexis's POV

The morning rays of light came through the small window in the room. The walls around me were cold and a constant reminder that I was still locked up. I hadn’t had a decent night's sleep since Alpha Kane had taken me. My body ached from the bad bed I was forced to sleep on, and my mind was all jumbled up.

Days went by and I couldn't even keep track of it. The routine never changed. The maid still brought me breakfast, lunch and dinner and still never spoke a word to me. I felt filthy. No one spoke to me. No one acknowledged my presence. They only brought me food and water like that was all that mattered.

When the door creaked open that morning, I almost didn’t look up. I assumed it was the maid bringing in food, I was used to it and I had grown tired of the routine.
