VII. DDG What?

2024-10-29 19:42:567 pm na din at may mga bisita pa rin sa baba. Balak pa ba nilang makipag dinner dito? Nakaupo ako sa terrace ng kwarto ni Alvie. Nasabi ko na ba? Mayaman sila. Nasa America kasi yung papa nya.
Napatingin ako sa garden nila. Nandun si Phoenix, kasama nung mga barkada nya. Nag iinuman yata.
"Sol."
Napalingon ako sa nagsalita.
Si Alvie lang pala. Mukha siyang tanga kasi ngingiti-ngiti siya na parang nakasinghot ng sampung katol.
"Baliw ka?" I asked her.
"Oo bes! Baliw na baliw!” sabay tawa pa niya, “Ang gwapo talaga nya~"
Napakunot yung noo ko. Sino na naman ba bukod sa BTS, EXO, Bigbang, Seventeen, Astro at iba pang boy group?
"Si Chalk! May gas!"
"Nasaan yung gas? Inlab ka sa chalk bes?"
Sinamaan ako ng tingin ni Alvie.
"Ang jeje mo bes. Tss. Ayun oh! Yung gwapong kasama ni Phoenix!" kilig na kilig pa siya niyan.
Napatingin naman ako sa tinuturo nya. May tatlo pa kasing kasama si Pheonix.
"Asan? Wala namang gwapo."
"Grabe bes. Nakasakit mong magsalita. Psh. Ayun oh, yung naka long sleeves na bulaklakin."
Tinuro pa ni Alvie gamit yung ruler na ewan ko kung saan niya nakuha kaya napatingin sa pwesto namin sina Pheonix.
"HI ALVIE!" sigaw nung naka long sleeves na sinasabi niya.
Bigla naman siyang nanigas sa kinatatayuan niya kaya natawa nalang ako.
"Ang jeje mo bes." pang aasar ko sa kanya kaya natawa nalang din sya.
"Me is so nikikilig~"
Natawa ako sa kabaliwan nya kaya binato ko siya nung kinakain naming chips.
"Pero seryoso bes, paano kayo nagkakilala ng pinsan ko?"
"Natatandaan mo nung nag-iinarte si Ronan sa rooftop? Nung pababa ako, nagkabungguan kami tapos nagkapalit kami ng phone. Ayun."
"Tapos?" she asked, her face so near to me I almost flicked her forhead using the ruler she’s holding a while ago.
"Tapos yun. Hindi ko naman talaga alam yung pangalan niya. Then, last night, naglalakad ako papunta sa 7/11, nakasabay ko siya, sabi niya may alam daw siyang noodles resto kaya dun kami kumain. Nilibre nya ako."

"Snob kaya ‘yun. Ni hindi nga makausap ng matino yan eh. Sobrang seryoso lagi."

I roll my eyes in exasperation. Is she kidding me? Yabang kaya nung ungas na ‘yun.

"Bes, nagugutom ako."
Tiningnan lang ako ni Alvie. Alas onse na din ng gabi. Busy kaming pareho sa pag spazz kaya ‘di pa kami kumakain. Busog kasi kami kanina.
"Wala sa akin yung kaldero bes. Maghanap ka ng malalamon sa baba. Psh."
Binato ko siya ng unan. Bastos talaga 'tong babaeng 'to. Lumabas ako ng kwarto nya tsaka dumiretso sa kusina.
Tulog na yung mga tao kasi nakapatay na lahat yung ilaw.
Bubuksan ko na sana yung ilaw pero may nakita akong nakaupo sa may lamesa. Bigla akong kinilabutan. May multo ba sa bahay nila?
Pero gutom talaga ako kaya dumiretso pa din ako. Binuksan ko yung ilaw.
"Ahhhh!"
"AHHHHH! Mommy!”
Sabay naming sigaw nung multo. Nakarinig kami ng footsteps galing sa taas. Nakatakip pa din yung mukha ko. Ayoko ng ganito. Minsan na nga lang ako makitulog sa iba ganito pa mararanasan ko.
"WHAT HAPPENED? WHY ARE YOU SHOUTING?!" nag aalalang tanong ng mama ni Alvie.
"Tss."
Natawa si Alvie kaya napatingin kaming lahat sa kanya. Ang abnormal naman kasi netong Pheonix na 'to. Nakaupo siya sa mesa habang umiinom ng gatas. Bakit kasi nakapatay yung ilaw? Baliw ba sya?

Natawa din yung mama ni Alvie.
"Ang panget mo kasi bes. Yan tuloy."
"Magsitulog na kayo pagkatapos nyo diyan okay? Goodnight." Iiling-iling na sabi ng mama niya tsaka umalis.
"Bakit kasi may ganyan kayo sa mukha?" sabay turo pa niya sa aming dalawa ni Alvie.
"Face mask ‘yan! Parang ikaw ‘di naglalagay neto ah. Sipain kita diyan eh." sabi sa kanya ni Alvie.
Ang weird talaga ng magpinsang 'to. Sumasakit tuloy yung utak ko. Tsk.

May mga bagay lang talaga na kahit anong gawin nating paghabol ay hindi na natin maabutan pa.
Kung bakit naman kasi tinanghali ako ng gising. Ayan tuloy, late ako sa flag ceremony. Monday pa naman ngayon. May rule pa naman sa University namin na sasayaw sa harapan ng lahat ng estudyante ang mga late whether you like it or you like it.
Late na kasing dumating sina Mommy at Daddy kaya na-late din ako ng tulog. Tinulungan ko pa silang ayusin yung mga paper works nila at inabot kami ng alas-dos ng madaling araw.
Hindi, joke lang. Nanood kasi talaga ako ng mga bagong MV ng EXO, Seoul Station at Train to Busan kaya ngayon, dinaig ko pa yung zombie sa pagka-bangag ko.
"ID mo." napasimangot nalang ako sa menopausal naming guard.

Kumunot yung noo ko.

"Ang sakit naman kasi. Tss. Thank you, ayan gising na ako."
Napailing nalang ako. Baliw talaga. He's wearing a navy blue sweat shirt, ripped jeans and converse with matching beanie and nerdy glasses. Pareho pala kami. Apple green naman yung damit ko.
"…and let's give these two students from Teacher Ed department and BSBA department a round of applause ... the most punctual students today... Eirrie Solleigh Santos and Phoenix Glenn Yu!" the speaker sarcastically said.
Tumayo kami ni Phoenix tsaka nagpunta sa stage. Sobrang daming tao. Damn. What to do? I don't even know how to dance.
Binigay ni Phoenix yung phone nya sa nag aassist ng sound system tsaka bumalik sa pwesto ko.
"Bang Bang Bang. Kaya ba?" he asked me.
"Bigbang?!"
Tumango sya. Biglang nagplay yung kanta kaya hinila niya ako sa gitna. Biglang nagsigawan yung mga tao. I even saw Alvie at the crowd cheering us.
Wala naman akong nagawa kundi sumabay nalang. Buti nalang at alam ko yung step. Ugh. Lamunin ka na sana ng lupa Solleigh. Nakakahiya ka.
I noticed how many girls cheered for him. Wow. Sya na kasi yuny gwapong talented. Ais. Hiyang-hiya ako sa pinag gagagawa ko. I swear to River Styx that I won’t be late anymore.

Ngumiti lang kaming pareho ni Phoenix bago umalis. Dumiretso na siya sa mga classmate niya, samantalang si Alvie naman, sinalubong ako ng hampas sa balikat.
"Kayo huh~" nakadrugs na naman ba 'tong babaeng 'to?
"Bakit na naman? Tss."
Magsasalita pa sana siya pero biglang lumapit si Chalk sa amin.
"Hi Alvie! Hi Sol! Err, gusto nyong sumali sa group?"
Nagkatinginan kami ni Alvie. Di kami sumasali sa frat! Siraulo ba 'to?!
"Sali kayo sa group namin. Magagaling naman kayong sumayaw eh. We think it's the time para magkaroon naman ng girls sa amin. Just call Phoenix kung gusto niyo. See you!"
Halos mapunit naman yung suot ko dahil sa higpit ng pagkaka-kapit ni Alvie. Nabaliw na naman sya. Tss.
"Saang group daw?"
"WAAH~ BES! SALI TAYO! PANAHON NA PARA MAGKASAMA KAMI NI POREBER KO~"
Pinitik ko sa noo si Alvie.
"Anong group ba?" ulit kong tanong.
"Walang kwenta ka talaga."
I glared at her. Maka-walang kwenta naman 'to, as if may halaga yung buhay nya.
"Anong group nga yun?"
"DDG nga."
"Anong DDG?"
"Basta! Sasali tayo. Tatawagan ko na mamaya si Phoenix. Tara na, late na tayo!"
Wala akong naintindihan sa sinabi ni Alvie at mas lalong hindi ko naintindihan si Chalk. Anong klaseng tao ba ang mga nakapalibot sa akin?
