I was about to walk out of his office when I suddenly stopped and turned, "Did I do anything wrong? I can't help but see that you're mad at me." I asked furrowing my brows.

"Huh! I didn't notice. I'm just really busy Anna, if that is all, I'd like to get back to work" Mark replied nonchalantly.

"So we're just going to pretend that it never happened?",

"That'll be all, Anna!" He replied, his tone deeper this time. I was shaken by his denial, but even more curious why he was getting angry now. I did not know what to say or if to just walk away.

He slowly raised his gaze towards me after a while and I could see his expression shift from one of happiness to guilt. Leaning back against the couch, he rubbed his hand over his face as he sighed,

"What do you want Anna?", he asked, clearing his throat.

I was pleased he was willing to talk about it, whatever 'it' was, but I still felt conflicted. His attitude toward me now wasn't what I expected, and I couldn't help but wonder if he regret
