"Why have you been looking for me? What do you know about my family?" I rushed my questions

"All your questions will be answered when we meet again." He replied

"No, I've waited eight years already. I need answers now"

He chuckled softly, "I understand Ms. Brookes, but I don't think I can say anything more over the phone. Meet me this evening at Sylvia's Cafe. Make sure you're not followed this time Ms. Brookes," he said and hung up the call.

Immediately after the call, I quickly went on the internet and searched Jack Green, but there were no results. Whoever this was, he was either good at erasing digital prints of himself, or maybe Jack Green was just a made-up name.

This whole thing screamed of danger, but I had to find out the truth. I had to know what these people wanted from me. If I was going to keep living in Delroy, I needed to do this and ensure my children were safe.
