Jack glanced at Mark with disdain in his eyes and then scoffed and turned away.

Immediately he walked away, Mark turned towards me with a scolding look

“What are you doing, Anna?”

“I should be asking you that question, Mark,” I interjected

“What?” He asked, staring at me in confusion.

“What do you want from me? Cause it seems just a few days ago you were telling me how we can never work, and today you’re here stalking me.”

“I’m only trying to keep you safe, you can’t trust these people.”

“And I can trust you?” I interjected with an unsettling look. I wasn’t sure why he was so adamant about telling me who I could or could not trust. Was there something he knew that I didn’t?

I was still waiting for his response, but strangely, he could not answer. His expression shifted from a stern one to that of guilt.

A few seconds passed and I shifted my gaze back to him, my focus stern and sharp. Pinching the bridge of my nose, I sighed and asked again, “How did you find me, Mark?
