As soon as his words fell, my body froze in fear

"It seems someone from your past has traced you here and given you up to The Circle"

This was all becoming too much to handle. I thought I had finally escaped my past when I left everything behind in Delroy, but it seemed I was not as free as I thought. I could not help but wonder who it was.

Still, I could not wrap my mind around something Jack said.

Casting my eyes to him again, I asked "You said my parents were a part of The Circle?"

Nodding his head, Jack continued, "Yes, they were part of The Five, but it seemed someone was jealous of their position and wanted that control and power for themselves. However, when we found out there was an internal power struggle within the organization, it was already too late. Your parents had already died."

Immediately I felt a sudden heaviness on my chest. All these years I'd been searching for a family I no longer had. I didn't have any memories of them or even knew what they looked like
