Chapter One Hundred And Twenty Three

Adriana’s POV

I walked towards Massimo’s room like a woman in a daze, and with an added bounce to my stride, I quickly checked the lunchbox I had prepared for him as I had been told by the chef that he hadn’t eaten in days.

I wanted to talk to him about yesterday; to tell him that I didn’t judge him and would never judge him because it was only human to make such mistakes sometimes. I also wanted to let him know that his employees thought highly of him, and whether he chooses to beat them up or not, they would always have his back.

I walked across the huge house, which was now dead silent as a lot of his bodyguards had gone for a lunch break, while a few had gone to either catch fun or do other personal things.

Something about the way some of his employees stared at me as I walked past made me quite uncomfortable, but I wasn’t sure if it was because they heard about Patrick or something else. I didn’t even bother to ask though as I continued walking.
