Chapter One Hundred And Twenty Six

Adriana’s POV

I arrived home to meet Massimo leaning by the doorframe by the threshold with the fiercest look I’ve ever seen on a person on his face.

My heart picked up an inhumane speed at the prospect of being confronted by him but then I mustered the most courageous look I could think of to prevent myself from being seen as guilty even before being charged.

As soon as he saw me coming over, he leaned away from the door to come stand in my way. I gulped.

“Good evening,” I greeted l, avoiding his gaze but he snickered. He didn’t even greet back.

“Where are you coming from?” He growled at me and even though I was itching to tell him about my ordeals today, I kept my mouth shut.

There was no way I would tell Massimo that I had gone to see Caden or that the latter had even tried to rape me in the process.

I knew that it was my fault that Caden had tried to sleep with me because I had been the one who had agreed to meet with him, but at this point, I wasn’t sure I wanted someone to rub
