Aria.

After the pack hunt, I went to meet with Alpha Rowan in the pack house, he was already pacing when I got there.

I came to a sudden halt, and lowered my gaze when I was close enough.

He spun around, and his voice thundered across the hall. “You little thief!”

I was forced to stare at him. Wondering what he meant.

I have never stolen from him, his accusations were quite alarming.

“You were the only one that had access to my study room and you cleaned it last, my diamond ring is missing!”

I shook my head and fell on my knees.

“I didn’t take any diamond, Alpha.”

“Are you calling your Alpha a liar? You bum?”

I shook my head vigorously and swore that I didn’t take his diamond.

He chuckled darkly and crossed his hands at his back.

“You were going to run away after you stole it, there’s evidence that your bag was packed and my diamond ring was found among your things.” He squatted and held my chin roughly. “You were going to run away tonight after the hunt, that was your plan and it seems you’ve forgotten you’re just a slave, a slave that belongs to me!” He spat in my face and my body trembled.

I tried to speak but I couldn’t form words, my lips were quivering and nothing came out of my mouth except gasp.

It was all a lie, this was a setup.

“Bring her in.” He ordered.

The door opened, and Ava stepped in with my bag packed and dropped it on the ground with the diamond ring.

I knew someone was watching me, I never thought it was the girl I thought was like a sister to me, my best friend.

Her head was held high while she avoided my gaze.

I shook my head and refused to believe it.

“I…I didn’t do it, Alpha, it’s not true. Ava, tell the Alpha everything, you know I would never do such a thing. I would never go against the Alpha!”

I knew it would cost my life, that had been the reason I have been cautions while serving him for the past years.

“You told me you were going to leave the pack after you stole the diamond, you said you were going to sell it off. I warned you but you never listened to me. You were planning to leave tonight, conspire with Kade and leave the pack. You forgot you were just the pack slave and wanted to go against the Alpha.”

I gasped as I stared at her, spewing those words out of her mouth.

She looked like someone I never knew.

“Guards! Drag her away and have her locked in the dungeon, she will face execution!” Alpha Rowan ordered.

I pleaded with him but it fell on deaf ears.

“That’s the most beneficial punishment for someone like you.” He hissed.

I blinked the tears away from my eyes, my knees bent on the ground and my eyes fixed on Ava, there was no sympathy in her eyes, nothing at all.

Someone attempted to have me killed, and I think they have succeeded.

Alpha Rowan stood close to me down, he squatted, his mouth leaned close to my ear.

“I have been watching you, Aria, and I will be the one to decide your fate.”

Out of the corner of my eyes I stared at him, his upper lips curled into a smirk.

It couldn’t be…

He was the one who sent those wolves after me in the hunt?

Why does he want me dead?

“Take her away!” He growled, and moved away from me.

The guards came up, and dragged me up to my feet, hauled me over their shoulders and out of the pack house to the prison, the few hours I would stay before being persecuted.

I was thrown in and locked in the dark prison room, oblivious of where I was, and the fact that I was going to die in a few hours.

“Aria.” I heard a soft voice called. I sniffed and wiped the tears off my face, I scooted closer to the iron bars, and stared into the face of the man that called me.

“It’s me, Soren.” He said in a  whisper. His hand reached out to my hand against the iron bars.

Soren was almost the same height as Kade but was shorter, with light brown hair and mischievous green eyes. I knew when he came to the pack, he was a rogue that Alpha Rowan accepted into Silverwolf, and he has always been kind to me.

“Don’t worry, I will find a way to get you out of here.”

“Ava.” I muttered.

“You’re in no position to worry about Ava right now!”

He squeezed my hand against the iron. “Listen to me Aria, I won’t let you get killed.”

“There’s nothing you can do, Alpha Rowan…” I choked on my words and was at the edge of breaking down.

His hand stretched out into the small space between the iron and wiped the tears that were about to roll down my cheeks. He brushed them off with his thumb.

“Nothing is going to happen to you, believe me.” He assured me. “I’m going to find the key to the prison door, and you’re going to escape, don’t ever look back.”

“It’s going to get you killed, Soren.”

“It doesn’t matter, make sure you do as I say, understand?”

Before I could say another word, he left my side in a hurry and I didn’t even hear the sound of his feet when he left.

I leaned back against the wall, with my hands wrapped around my body.

Soren came back, there was blood stain on his clothes, he held the key and opened the door of the prison gate.

“Soren…”

“Don’t worry about me, go now. Take the woods.”

“Run, Aria.” Soren whispered as if he was pleading. “Don’t get caught, and I will come find you.”

The moment I was let out, I ran as fast as my legs could carry, and diverted into the woods.

I didn’t know how long I had been running when I heard voices behind me.

“Alpha Rowan wants her dead or alive.”

“As long as we capture her, it doesn’t matter if she lives or dies.” Another wolf remarked and I swallowed the lump on my throat.

Their eyes darted at me dangerously, and they charged forward. I ran out of the hiding spot behind the tree  but one of the men grabbed me by the hair and pulled me backward. I crashed into the ground.

“What made you think you could run away?” One of them snarled.

I groaned, and stood up from the ground “Fuck!” I heard them curse and come after me.

Before I could make another turn, one of them was in front of me, baring his teeth.

I screeched to a halt, and squatted to pick a stone from the ground with some sand in it, and projected it on his face.

He groaned with his eyes shut, and I took the other narrow path in the woods and continued running.

I hadn’t gone far when I was caught by two of them, one was in front of me and the other was behind.

The one behind kicked me on my back with his feet, and I tumbled forward, and the one in front flipped me to the ground.

“You stupid wolf.” They snarled.

I panted, and crawled backwards, one of them pulled me up with the hem of my dress tearing it, panic set in, and the sands with which I had gathered in my hands, I threw it in his face, and elbowed his neck.

His claws dug into my shoulder and pinned me down to the ground, I yelped out in pain as blood streamed out of my shoulders.

“Get away from her!” I heard the sound of a deep growl, with a shallow breath I tilted my head to the sound of the voice.

“Rowan wants her dead!” The wolf snarled in response.

“You won’t dare to touch what’s mine!”

The face became clearer, and his blue eyes had gone darker.

Alpha Damon.

The wolf who had his claws on my shoulder turned, he glanced at me, and took his gaze back to Alpha Damon. “We will follow you back to the pack house.” He snarled. Aria. “Take her away, Kade and keep an eye on her.” Alpha Rowan ordered, the moment Alpha Damon walked out of the pack house. He stared at me before he left, his eyes filled with worry, he looked like he didn’t want to leave me there with him. “Alpha, you haven’t…” Alpha Rowan cut him off before he could complete his words. “You heard what she did Kade, do you expect me to keep someone like that beside me again? And you were going to help her escape the pack. Do you think you’ve any right to question me at this moment?”Kade exhaled and lowered his head in submission at Rowan’s outburst. “Alpha, everything is a lie, and nothing like that was going to happen.” Kade protested, I stepped closer to him and touched his arm and shook my head at him. I didn’t want him to argue with Alpha Rowan. He sent wolves to have me killed, he could do worse to Kade, and it wasn’t something I wanted. I don’t want to lose him. “Are you going against my orders?” Alpha Rowan barked, I shook my head,

Kade glanced at me and then at Lucian. “She needs to rest.” Lucian nodded. “I will be back tomorrow to check up on her.” “You don’t have to…” Kade interjected, and strolled into the room.Lucian simply nodded and didn’t say anything else. He headed towards the door and walked out of the room. He closed the door quietly behind him. Kade exhaled when he was gone, he placed his hands on the bed. “Be careful of him.” He mumbled. I nodded slowly, I knew Lucian was someone that I couldn’t trust, and didn’t believe most of the things that he said but I needed him. If I want to go against Alpha Rowan, I need him by my side, and I want Soren out of the prison too because he knows a lot since he was once a rogue before he came to the pack. “Get some rest. I will sit here and watch you.” “Why are you doing this Kade?” “What do you mean why am I doing

Kade. I left the hospital because Alpha Rowan needed me in the pack house. I couldn’t disobey him because he was Alpha, and the leader of our pack. I didn’t want to leave Aria alone in the hospital, she was sound asleep when I left and the doctor said she was recovering quite well and there was no cause for me to worry about her in the hospital. So I left and went to attend to the words of the Alpha. He was in some sort of discussion with Alpha Damon when I came to his office, he looked over some documents with him. His face held a smile of satisfaction. He looked that way because he was getting what he wanted, an alliance in exchange for Aria. I have known Aria ever since I started working as a pack warrior, she was made to serve the warriors' foods and take care of some of their needs. Everyone knew her, because she was the pack slave. But I didn’t like the way she was being treated in the pack house, and I wanted to protect her in my own way. If I could I would have taken he

Aria. I woke up in a comfy bed, soft and luxurious. My lashes flapped, and I stood up slowly from the bed, and rubbed my eyes. I had left for what felt like a century, the last thing I remembered was when I was in the car with Alpha Damon, what happened after, I didn’t quite remember. I pushed the covers off my body and stood up from the bed, the room was twice the size of the entire room in the servant quarters at Rowan’s Pack. Beside the wardrobe, the things were on the floor, he had brought them over to his pack. The door opened abruptly, and startled me. Alpha Damon cleared his throat. “…I didn’t know you were awake. The last time I came in, you were asleep. I wanted to check up on you.” He stepped in, and stood in front of me. I pointed a finger on my dress, I wasn’t on this dress when I left the pack. “A maid changed it for you and…” I raised my brow, waiting for him to say the word. “…and she said there were some scars in your body.” My brow creased with a frown. “I

Damon. “…that you’re my mate.” I wanted to see the look on her face when I said that, her eyes widen at me and she wanted to speak because her lips parted but no words came out of her mouth. “It’s just a rumor or a gossip. You shouldn’t think that much about it and I would have anyone who goes around spreading such rumors punished.” I responded, and walked out of the room. I didn’t want to stay any longer in her presence, I got angry and mixed emotions each time I was by her side. I had seen the scars on her body when she was undressed, I was infuriated by it. I wanted to do something to Rowan, and went back to Silverwolf Pack but I didn’t meet at the pack house. I was informed that he had gone for a meeting. I couldn’t wait because I had to go back to the pack and check on Aria.I left a word for him. “Alpha, the council wants a meeting with you…” My Beta informed me as I stepped into my study room. “When did you get here?” I glanced at him over my shoulders. “About an hour.”

Aria. Alpha Damon wasn’t around for dinner as he said he would, I was served dinner in the big dining room alone. I thought of Kade, I had always eaten with him, and I never felt alone in the kitchen with him but now I missed his presence around me. I was able to eat just little from the meal that I was served, and went back to my bedroom, I started to unpack my things that was brought to the pack. There was clothes in the wardrobe already, I wonder how Alpha Damon was able to get that all. I took out the only stuff I had left from my family, and slowly slide down beside the bed, glance through it. I found my mom’s diary among the things in the small box, and my Alpha’s crest and Alpha. There was a necklace which my elder brother Drayton had, he shared the same thing with me. I took them out, and smiled faintly at it. I kept it aside and picked up Mom’s diary, I have never read through it completely. I placed it on my lap, and started to flip through the pages, brushing against

I had been busy for the past few days, and hadn’t been able to see her. “…and we’ll think about how to make changes in our pack and make the Moonlit Gala eventful as well.” The Chief Elder was giving a round up speech. They said joining hands with the Silverwolf pack was a good thing to do since I had never interacted with any Alpha packs before. Well, whatever they say. “This would be the end of our meeting…” He said, and I stood up, the next meeting, I wasn’t sure I would be of any attendance to it. “Alpha.” A voice stopped me, I turned and spared him a stare. He waited, waiting for me to come to him, and I felt this uncertainty in my chest, the closer that I got to him but I kept going until I was a foot away. He took the last step, and he was just as I had known, and his auburn hair was somehow messy. I stretched and reached out to touch his hair, and tried to calm it with my hand, he grasped my wrist and brought down my hand but didn’t let go of it. He held it, caressed it, and brought it to his lips and kissed it. The silence between us said a lot more than we did and he closed the distance between us in a bone-crushing hug. “I miss you, Aria.” He muttered against my ear. My hand tightened around his back, I had missed him just as much. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be there for you.” He pulled away from me and held my face in his hand, his eyes stared intently into mine.

It was healed but the memories were still very vivid like it happened just some hours ago. I dropped the mirror and held the handkerchief, it had Aria's scent on it and smelled just like her. I kept the handkerchief on my desk and stared at it. “Alpha. Can I come in?” I heard the voice of Peterson. “What is it?” I asked and he opened the door and came into the office with a smile. I handed her over Kade since he would bring her to you to the Pack.” “He was supposed to do that.” He mumbled quietly. “So why didn’t he do that?” “I don’t know Alpha, he deceived me into taking another part, and then left with Aria. I thought he came down to the Pack but I guess that he didn’t.” He walked across his desk, his fingers tracing the edges of the table. “That’s not what I heard.” He leaned against the table. “Someone was here before you did, and told me about the plan that you had with him. I didn’t like the feeling that I had but I couldn’t stop myself from doing it. Kade said he was going to handle it, after I hand Aria to her. I should go back to the Pack and made a report about it, that was the plan. I met Aria outside after she jumped down from her window, I wanted her to be careful. I wasn’t doing this because I didn’t trust Alpha Damon, we just couldn’t take it that Aria was here and not being safe. “Did your hurt yourself?” I saw a bruised on her knee. “When I was climbing down, it wasn’t as easy as I thought.” “You’ve got to be careful, Aria and avoid getting yourself hurt.” “I know so stop with the nagging and let’s leave, Damon will be soon.” “How did you know? I heard the voices of Damon and his Beta when they were leaving the house, they left very early in the morning. Damon didn’t drop a message or anything, they just left. I could barely even eat my food, I wasn’t really in a good mood, and I was losing my appetite for food. I came down from the bed and walked to the door, I opened it and met with the maid outside.“Who is it?” “Mr. Soren. He’s outside the front door, and I wanted to come inform you before I let him in, it was the instructions that we got from the Alpha.” She answered, and I nodded at her. I came out of my room and shut the door behind me, I followed her downstairs, we got to the front door, and I told her I would handle it. She bowed slightly, and left.
