Aria. I came to a halt when I saw him, I think he had been watching me while standing beside a tree, then, I made my way down to him slowly counting my steps as I did. He waited, waiting for me to come to him, and I felt this uncertainty in my chest, the closer that I got to him but I kept going until I was a foot away. He took the last step, and he was just as I had known, and his auburn hair was somehow messy. I stretched and reached out to touch his hair, and tried to calm it with my hand, he grasped my wrist and brought down my hand but didn’t let go of it. He held it, caressed it, and brought it to his lips and kissed it. The silence between us said a lot more than we did and he closed the distance between us in a bone-crushing hug. “I miss you, Aria.” He muttered against my ear. My hand tightened around his back, I had missed him just as much. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be there for you.” He pulled away from me and held my face in his hand, his eyes stared intently into mine.

Damon. Throughout my meeting, and while I was in the office I was staring at the brown handkerchief that belonged to Aria.
