Chapter 6

Blake's pov

(Zoe's Birthday)

 It's my typical day with my typical work. Since I became Alpha I'm spending most of my time in my office doing work. Sometimes I forgot to eat and my best friend and Beta Caleb have to watch over me because of that. One time I was s busy because rogues were trying to get on our territory that I didn't eat for 3 days and that's for werewolves like 5 days for humans. I blacked out because of that and ended up in the hospital for a whole week because my Beta wanted to be sure, that I had learned a lesson from that. So now I have an alarm on my phone, that keeps reminding me to eat every 4 hours at least a little bit.

But today is boring. Just boring paperwork that I hate the most about being an Alpha. My father was training me for that but I never love that. I love to fight, train, and motivate my pack members to be stronger and better in case of a war or an attack on our pack. And I love being with little pups. When I don't have work I go to daycare and play with pups.  I'm eager to find a mate and have pups with her, but luck isn't on my side. I'm almost 20 and I still haven't found her. But I know that she is somewhere and that the moon goddess wouldn't pair me with someone who I won't ever meet. 

Luckily I found Rose. I met her 4 months ago when I joined another chat room for orphans and immediately I fell in love with her. She helped so many people there to overcome their fears and the death of their family, even though she wasn't alright too. I had already joined so many groups and none had helped me. I was depressed and then I found this group and Rose. After 3 months of chatting in the group, we started to chat privately. We agreed on so many things and have a similar story that I was finally happy. 

I was so busy thinking about Rose that when I hear Caleb speaks I fall from my chair. 

"Hey Cindy, what are you thinking about?"

"OMG CALEB! HOW MANY TIMES DID I TELL YOU TO KNOCK ON THE DOOR"

"Sorry Alpha, I was knocking almost for 2 minutes and you still didn't answer."

"It's okay, I forgive you"

"Thanks, Cindy, so what's on your mind?"

He calls me Cindy because of my name. My name is Asher Blake Grey and he thinks it's funny when he shortened Cinderella for Cindy and calls me Cindy. After so many years I don't even want to deal with it. I hated it, but now I finally think it's funny. Because I call him Bell. 

 "Pack business, so what do you want Bell?"

"Nothing, I just want to inform you that I am going to town to look for some things for my new room, and thanks again. I don't what I would do without you."

"And again, you don't have to thank me, I am glad you are happy and that you will be living with me in the packhouse." 

Caleb was living in his parent's house, but now he is 18 and they decided that they will move in with his older sister Clair, that is now expecting and will need their help. She is mated to Alpha Caspian from the Golden river pack. That is the second biggest pack in America. Our pack, the Midnight pack, is in third place. So when they moved out a week ago, Caleb agreed that he will move into the packhouse. He will have his floor with a large apartment in it.

Even though we are a large pack, we don't have a large packhouse. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen and dining room that can fit 50 people. On the first floor are spare rooms for our guests, on the second floor are spare rooms for pack members, on the third floor is going to be Caleb's apartment after he will furnish it with furniture and on the fourth floor is my apartment. 

When my parents died 4 years ago I rebuilt the whole packhouse, because I wanted it to be smaller but still have room for someone in need. 

Caleb left an hour ago and I am doing work again when I got a message from Rose. She gives me her phone number and I called her immediately because I want to hear her voice, I don't doubt that it is beautiful but still I am eager to hear her. 

(Present day)

I definitely love Rose. I love her voice, when she woke me with her singing, it was the most beautiful thing. And I love spending time with her, though we are just talking and I don't care that I haven't seen her yet, but I know she is beautiful so I don't have to see her. I will be waiting for her until she is ready to show herself to me. And I will gladly show her myself. 

Now I am getting ready for our regular evening date with Brooklyn 99. I like the show, but mostly I love to watch it with her. Lately, she is sleepy so she doesn't watch with me many episodes but when I hear her quiet snores, it's so adorable. I want her to be my mate. I will cherish her and give her the Moon because she is the most amazing woman I have ever met. 

I was going to call her when I hear a mindlink from Caleb, who is today on patrol duty with other pack members. 

'ALPHA, WE ARE UNDER ATTACK. WE THINK IT'S AT LEAST 10 ROGUES AND THEY ARE ON OUR NORTHERN BORDER!'

I'm starting to take off my clothes and I text Rose, that  I have a pack emergency and I will text her as soon as possible. And then I run to the border to protect my pack.
