Alessia's POVI hate being on breaks away from school, spending time in the midst of my family stresses me a whole lot. You only get to spend time off on a weekend when you are out with a family member or your betrothed. In actual truth, I am not a fan of my own family life. After pleading with Allen to take me out of the house, he finally agreed after a five dollar bribe. I despise how much Allen loves money. I would love to wring his neck. But, today I have decided being violent won't help. I had run a quick call at Collin, we talked for a while. Judging by the way he sounded, he isn't really keen on stepping out of his house. Also, I intend to be more cautious of my movement with him. To avoid getting seen in a cozy moment. Patrick still hasn't told me about any plan that he might be working towards as regards the awful union our families are trying so hard to make on our behalf. I should really make a run for it, but there is no way I am leaving Collin here all alone without me.
Collin's POVMy day was made the moment I set my eyes on Alessia. My weekend was fine spending it with my family, but the feeling is different getting to spend time with your lover. And it's a really good day today, Ariel is back in school. It's amusing seeing Patrick grin from ear to ear, his happiness was unmatched. Ariel looked more relaxed to and it gladdened my heart to see her happy. Things seem to be back to their normal state. Patrick's father hasn't gone on another robbery spree for now, even though we are on alert as to what they might be up to. For now, I guess it's not just me who desires a break from the mental torment. It's the closing hour and we are all gathered at our usual chilling spot discussing randomly. Each person with their own partner. I am amused though, even Tephanie seems extremely comfortable in Seth's arms. I haven't had a chance to see my brother look so delighted before. I am glad he found happiness in Tephanie. Our final exams were getting close and
Collin's POVI excused myself immediately our friends left. I practically ran beyond my usual capacity to get to the woods near the school before it becomes very late. I could vividly remember the herbs, because Charlie was always generous enough to take me along with him on such tours. It was more like a bonding moment between us. Tuning my wolf eyes, I sniffed the woods carefully. I tried to act as normal as possible knowing any human can be found lingering around. Luckily, I found the exact herbs I was looking for. After plucking them, I felt some strange movement. Looking back I didn't see anything or anyone. Hastening my pace, I ran to get out of the woods on time before I get forced to unleash the beastly side of me. I almost yelled out in horror when I saw a girl with her hair looking like spikes covering her face with a torn jean and bleeding feet stand in front of me. I was beginning to think the zombies were out until she raised her head. "Tephanie?" I called out in shock
Collin's POVIt took me almost half an hour to convince Tephanie to come home with me. Despite telling her that I needed to show her something really important. She does have strong trust issues and I don't know if I should feel offended about it. When she finally agreed, I could almost bet my herbs were withering away in my pocket. Everyone was surprised to find a homeless looking Tephanie next to me. Waving a dismissive hand at them, I headed straight to the kitchen to process the herb. There is no way Tephanie's reveal is happening without Ester present. "Why the hell does my girlfriend look so battered when she only left here about three hours ago?" A raging Seth came at me in the kitchen. With my back turned, I shook my head turning on the gas. "I know you can hear me clearly, Collin." I turned to look at him with a straight face, "why are you coming at me? Did you ask her?" "She isn't saying anything. What did you do to her?" He had an accusing glare on his face. I gasped i
Author's POVTephanie stared in disbelief at the twelve pair of eyes staring at her. She would never have thought that breeds like hers would exist in this lifetime. It had been a hard pill to swallow for her, when she found out she wasn't human. It was harder when none of her family members appears to be different. She had been scared Collin might have an intention to harm her, however the wolf within her somehow trusted him in a way she couldn't explain. Finding herself in the midst of the family she had thought were only humans had her head spinning. "What is going on here, Collin?" Charlie rebuked, looking displeased. He wasn't expecting his son to act so unreasonable and exposing them all to a stranger. Even though she might be Seth's mate. Ester waved a hand at him, "you know he wouldn't do anything without reason." Seth made his way towards Tephanie, holding up her hands. "talk to me baby, are you a werewolf?" Tephanie cried, sniffing. "yes, I am." "How, how is that possi
Author's POV Brenda stirred her drink, playing around with the straw. Her eyes lingered on the main door hoping it would open up in no time. Damien exhaled caressing his wife's hair. "Your eyes might end up falling off their sockets if you keep staring like that." He joked lightly. She hissed, "how can you be so comfortable with your daughter not being home when It's past dinner.""She is eighteen, Brenda. And would definitely have friends she would like to hang out with. Don't be too dramatic over this." Damien responded. Taking a sip of his juice. "Are you really just going to ignore the fact that she might be slipping away from us?""Why exactly are you being so paranoid, Brenda?" "Why shouldn't I be? She is eighteen and should have turned like years ago? It's bad enough that we hid the truth from her, are we supposed to still let her hurt alone?" "Don't you think if she had noticed anything strange within herself, vwouldnt she have told us?" Brenda snorted, "it's amusing how
Alessia's POVEverytime I get a little bit of distraction forgetting about my worries, they find their way back in almost immediately. Since Phil and I are on good terms, my mum seem to be playing a bit nice. It wasn't surprising though, she feels I have finally accepted her man.Stretching out lazily on my bed, I heard a slight knock on the door. "come in." I yawned in response. Mum peeked her head in tiptoeing inside like she was trying to hide from someone. "Hey baby." Err, that came out too odd. She is acting too sweet and I hope she has no intention of boxing me into one of her numerous entanglement now. I am just glad she looks better now. "Hi, mum." I mumbled sounding bored. "Are you okay?" She asked, her face scrunched up in worry. I sat up, "I'm fine, mum. Why are you here?" A girly giggle escaped her lips, "actually, I know you would be excited by this too. Patrick and his parents would be coming over for dinner to discuss your marriage. Remember you would be done with
Author's POVTephanie sat by the dining table stabbing at her food and staring at the wall with a blank look on her face. Her mind seem to be far from her as she analyzed the depth of the strange situation she was in. It just occurred to her over the night that her family being different might imply living far away from them. Even though they are hardly around, Tephanie couldn't imagine her life without them in it. It felt strange that Collin and his entire family were werewolves, including Ariel. On one hand she felt relieved that she wasn't the only weird one, on the other hand her family not being part of her strange life made her feel lonely. Brenda nudged Damien on the side as they both stood by the stairs watching their daughter stare into space. It was her birthday and Tephanie didn't look like someone interested in being alive. "She clocked nineteen today. Do you think she shifted during the night?" Brenda asked her husband.Damien snort, "we would have definitely heard her
