Brenda stirred her drink, playing around with the straw. Her eyes lingered on the main door hoping it would open up in no time. Damien exhaled caressing his wife's hair.

"Your eyes might end up falling off their sockets if you keep staring like that." He joked lightly.

She hissed, "how can you be so comfortable with your daughter not being home when It's past dinner."

"She is eighteen, Brenda. And would definitely have friends she would like to hang out with. Don't be too dramatic over this." Damien responded. Taking a sip of his juice.

"Are you really just going to ignore the fact that she might be slipping away from us?"

"Why exactly are you being so paranoid, Brenda?"

"Why shouldn't I be? She is eighteen and should have turned like years ago? It's bad enough that we hid the truth from her, are we supposed to still let her hurt alone?"

"Don't you think if she had noticed anything strange within herself,vwouldnt she have told us?"
