LORRAINE'S POV

After dinner, the twins led me to the guestroom to sleep, and nothing extraordinary happened after that. I was pleased.

It was a relief that I didn't have to go through another meeting with their scary father but I couldn't say the same for the twins.

I was very confident that even though they were lackadaisical to their father's opinions, they were going to get an earful from him.

Anyone would be worried if their sons got mated to a nobody like me. It was the reason I wanted to forget all about the mate bond and move on with my life.

I shut my eyes and tried to get some sleep. The comfortable bed should have made it easier but the things running through my head made it a lot harder.
