Chapter 085

CHLOE'S POV

I just had the nagging feeling that the twins would show up so I tried to figure out a perfect way to sneak out so I could stop them before they got to the house.

But I was trapped in.

I even went to my room door and realized it was locked. I didn't need to think much, I knew it was my mother.

I moved the bookshelf aside to reveal the secret passage. It led to the back of the house, which would make it easier to sneak out.

I didn't hesitate before walking in. I had to run because I didn't know how close they were to the house.

Once I got outside, I sneaked out through the back gates but I had to use the long cut to get to the beginning of the street without alerting the guards.

Just as I showed up on the street, I spotted their car and flagged them down.

That was so fucking close. If I didn't leave at that moment, they would have shown up at our doorstep.
