Becca's POV

"Welcome," Aria said with a warm smile as I walked into the apartment. After hours of sleeplessness and restless thoughts, I had finally decided to come over.

"Yes, I know. I was really excited when Naomi told me you wanted to see me," she continued, gesturing for me to take a seat. "Tea?"

"No, I'm fine," I replied, my voice steady but my nerves on edge.

She nodded, pouring herself a cup and taking a leisurely sip. "So, why are you here?"

My heart skipped a beat as I glanced at her, then at Naomi, who gave me an encouraging nod.

"Naomi told me the oak tree was destroyed. Thanks to you," I said, trying to keep my voice even.

"Ah, yes. It was important for her to cleanse herself from every negative energy," Aria responded, her tone calm and unbothered.

"And that includes the tree?" I pressed, my irritation bubbling just beneath the surface. "Do you realize that you have endangered countless generations of innocent girls tied to that forsaken prophecy?"

Aria remained unfazed,
