Becca's POV

Thump, thump, thump.

Each step reverberated through the quiet hallway as I approached Aria's library. After the unsettling incident with Naomi, my senses were on high alert. I had a sinking feeling that there was more to Aria and her motives than met the eye, and her library seemed like the perfect place to start searching for answers.

The heavy wooden door creaked softly as I pushed it open, revealing a dimly lit room lined with shelves upon shelves of books. The air inside was still, carrying a faint scent of old paper and ink. Sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting long shadows across the ornate rugs that adorned the floor.

Walking towards the table, I moved with caution, my senses attuned to any sound or movement that might signal Aria's return. The library seemed to hold its breath, every creak of the floorboards echoing loudly in the stillness.

I gently sifted through the papers on the desk and opened the drawers one by one, but found nothing of significance
