Becca's POV

"The only way to break the bond is for Naomi to cut the threads," I said to the woman I had seen in Aria's secret lair, my voice filled with urgency and desperation.

She tilted her head, a contemplative look crossing her face. "Hmmm, then we must find a way to bring Naomi to where the witches lay."

"Yes, but Aria is very smart. She'll figure it out," I replied, my brows knitting together in worry.

The woman fell silent, her eyes narrowing in thought. After a moment, she looked up, a determined glint in her eyes. "Then we need a distraction, one that would completely take her mind off Naomi."

"What could that be?" I asked, leaning forward, my curiosity and hope intertwining.

"Not what, but who," she said, her gaze piercing.

Realization hit me like a punch to the gut. She was referring to Darius. "But how?" I asked, my voice trembling slightly.

"Leave that to me and focus on how to convince Naomi," she said firmly, turning to leave.

"Wait," I called after her. "I didn't get y

Aria's POVI knew I should have killed him before. As I walked deeper into the woods, my senses sharpened, detecting his presence growing nearer. Once I found him, I would seize his breath, watching as he helplessly begged for air while he died.Arriving at the abandoned building where the spell I had cast directed me, I took a cautious step toward the entrance. Just as I was about to enter, Tabitha emerged from the shadows."Tabitha, oh thank God, you're..." My words trailed off as suspicion flickered in my mind. "Wait, why are you here?"Tabitha took a deep breath, her expression pained. "I wished it never came to this.""What did you do?" I demanded, my voice rising. "Don't tell me you're the one who freed him.""I had no other choice, Aria," Tabitha confessed, her voice wavering. "This is too much. We are endangering people. It doesn't have to be like this. Let's just go b—""Shut up!" I roared, my anger boiling over."How dare you? I waited years for this, and you ruined it for m

Becca's POVI watched desperately, my heart pounding so loudly I could barely hear anything else. Naomi stood before the altar, her hands trembling slightly as she picked up the rope that linked all the witches together. She began chanting, her voice steady and resolute despite the fear I could see flickering in her eyes. Please, I prayed silently, hoping we weren't too late.Suddenly, a brilliant light burst forth from the rope, filling the room with an almost blinding radiance. I shielded my eyes, squinting against the brightness. Then, as quickly as it had come, the light vanished, leaving us in the dim, eerie silence of the room.Naomi slowly stood up, her legs unsteady. I rushed to her side, my hands frantically checking her for any signs of harm. She looked exhausted but there was a spark of relief in her eyes."It worked," she said breathlessly. "The link has been broken."A wave of relief washed over me, and I pulled her into a tight hug. "You did it, Naomi. You did so well,"

Bas POVA few days passed, and each second was filled with Becca by my side. After the whole Aria situation, she felt an overwhelming guilt and never wanted to leave me. While I loved every moment of her presence, I hated that she still blamed herself."You do know I have healing powers, right?" I said, watching her as she held my hands, checking for the tenth time if the scar was still there. Her brow furrowed with worry, her lips pressed into a thin line of concentration."I know, I just..." she trailed off, her voice tinged with lingering anxiety."Becca, I'm really okay," I assured her, gently cupping her cheeks with my hands. Her eyes, filled with a mix of concern and affection, met mine. "Thanks to you, I've been in bed for the last few days, all wrapped up with the woman I love." I pulled her to the bed, snuggling closer. "This has been the best time of my life. Maybe I should get hurt more often."She chuckled softly, her shoulders finally relaxing a bit. "Don't you dare," she

  • Marked by the Moon   Chapter 113

Bas POV2 YearsThe room was dark and cold, the only light coming from a small, barred window high up on the wall. My hands were bound by heavy iron chains that cut into my wrists, and my body was weakened by the wolfsbane that coursed through my veins. Every movement sent waves of pain through me, and I felt an overwhelming sense of exhaustion. The only thing that kept me from slipping into despair was the thought of her.Her beautiful face, her hazel eyes staring deep into my soul—Becca. I missed her so much. How long had it been? A year? No, probably two. My father had locked me up, chained in this cell, a punishment for my defiance. The days had blurred together in this dark place, each one as torturous as the last. The sound of jingling keys broke through the silence, and the door creaked open. A shadowy figure stepped inside, their footsteps echoing off the stone walls. The man's hands moved with practiced ease as he reached for the chains, and then I heard a click. The relief w

Becca's POVI tossed in the bed, my hands moving to the left, hoping to feel Bas beside me. My heart sank when my hand met only cold sheets. Opening my eyes, I scanned the room, realizing he was gone. Had he left during the night?I wished he had stayed. The emptiness of the room pressed in on me, a stark reminder of the two years I had spent alone. Darius had locked me up as punishment, forbidding me from even stepping outside. I was isolated, with no phone to reach out to my friends or my mum. The only comfort was knowing they were safe, thanks to Bas. He had instructed Tom to watch over them, and occasionally, I received updates about their well-being.With a heavy sigh, I rose from the bed and headed to the shower. The cold water cascaded over my body, but it did little to wash away the tension coiled within me. I stood there for a while, letting the water flow, hoping it might provide some semblance of relief. It didn't.Stepping out, I wrapped a towel around myself and caught a g

Bas POVThe soft feel of the bed against my back made me jolt up. My eyes snapped open, and I scanned the room, confusion swirling in my mind. I wasn't supposed to be here; the last I remembered, my father had locked me up in a cell.I quickly jolted upright, my eyes finding Becca sitting beside me. Her eyes were heavy with exhaustion, dark circles marring her usually bright features. She looked like she had barely slept."Thank God you're awake," she said in a whisper, her voice quivering with relief."Becca?... How...""How could you be so stubborn?" she interrupted, wiping away the tears that spilled from her eyes. Her hands trembled as she did so. "Do you have any idea how worried I was when I found out you were back in the cell?" Her voice broke, and the tears poured down profusely, her body shaking with each sob.I pulled her closer, wrapping her in a tight hug. I could feel her body trembling against mine, and it broke my heart to see her like this. "I'm so sorry," I whispered,

Bas POV"You have me, Bas. I'm all yours," she said, pulling back just enough to look into my eyes, her own filled with desire and longing. That was it. In a swift move, I rolled her beneath me, my breaths ragged as I took in the sight of her. God, she was breathtaking. Her hair fanned out around her, her lips swollen from our kisses, her eyes dark with need. She bit her lower lip, her gaze locked onto mine, daring me to take her. My eyes fell to her lips, the temptation too great to resist. I leaned down, capturing her mouth in a fierce kiss, my hands roaming her body, feeling every curve, every inch of her that I had longed to touch. In a swift move, I stripped away her clothes, then mine. It was all so fast, so urgent—I needed to feel her, and at this point, if I couldn't, I might lose my mind.I positioned myself over her, our eyes locking for a moment, heavy with shared need. Quickly but gently, I thrust into her, a deep groan escaping both our lips at the overwhelming sensation.

"Becca, stop," I said, pulling away, my voice firm. "I don't want to do this right now."Her eyes wandered down to my already hardened length, and I hated how my body betrayed me. I was so intoxicated by her; the mere sight of her naked was driving me crazy."You say that, but your body tells me a different thing," she said, her voice husky as her hands wrapped around my hardened lengthI groaned at the feeling, my resolve weakening. "The poison won't kill you," I said, my voice steady. "It's just going to make you forever weak. This is your punishment for all the sins you've committed."I turned to leave but stopped in my tracks. No matter how monstrous he was, he was still my father, and I couldn't bring myself to kill him. "Get out of here and never come back. I'll tell the pack I flung your body deep in the sea."This was my last act of kindness, not for the defeated Alpha, but for my father.Suddenly, Darius burst into laughter, the sound echoing through the forest. I turned to look at him. "Oh, as always, you're so weak, boy," he said, managing to get up and resting against a tree. "Do you really think I'll just remain quiet and watch as you jeopardize everything I've worked for? I'll come for you."I turned away, not wanting to see him in this state. He was al
