The room was dark and cold, the only light coming from a small, barred window high up on the wall. My hands were bound by heavy iron chains that cut into my wrists, and my body was weakened by the wolfsbane that coursed through my veins. Every movement sent waves of pain through me, and I felt an overwhelming sense of exhaustion. The only thing that kept me from slipping into despair was the thought of her.
