Chapter 2 (Agreed)

"I'm glad you agreed to be my Private Doctor,"

My lips rose up as Mr. Villegas welcomed me with his voice full of authority as I entered his room. He was now sitting on his bed while looking straight at me with his lips curved into a smile. Napalunok ako bago naglakad palapit sakan'ya.

"Goodmorning, s-sir," I stuttered as I came near him. "I didn't yet approve to be your private doctor," I continue as I put the tools I brought to clean his wounds.

"That's impossible," his brows furrowed as he looked at me.

Tipid akong ngumiti sakan'ya bago hinila ang kanang kamay niya na maraming sugat.

"O-Oh, that hurts!" He pulled back his arm from me. Napatingin ako sakan'ya dahil sa kan'yang inasta. Nagkatitigan kami sa mga mata pero kaagad din akong umiwas.

"You should have drive more safely to avoid getting into accident, then," I answered as I quickly pull his arm again. "Kailangan nating linisan 'to palagi para hindi magkaroon ng any infection which can worsen your wounds,"

"I know. Do you think I'm a kid?" Tanong nito pero hindi ko nalang pinansin. Nagpatuloy ako sa paglilinis ng mga sugat niya sa kamay. Ang iba'y mga maliliit lang naman pero kailangan paring linisin.

Not to mention that he is our VIP patient that's why we need to put an extra careful and effort for his fast recovery.

Bakit kasi sa dinami-dami ng doctor sa hospital na ito ay ako lang ang available noong dumating sila, e. I shouldn't be here now, getting conscious about my actions and every move because hell yeah, I'm just treating our VIP patient now! Anak sa pinakamayamang partner ng hospital.

"Your hands are trembling," he stated that made me look at him. Nagulat ako nang pagtingin ko sakan'ya'y halos magdikit ang aming mga mukha sa lapit nito!

Napalunok ako. Isang linggo na ang nakakaraan nang dinala siya rito sa hospital ngunit ngayon lang ako nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na titigan ang kan'yang mukha.

My eyes settled in his tantalizing blue eyes like an ocean that's also staring at me like I was something he wanted to dive in. Ang ilong nitong sobrang tangos. It was perfectly pointed! Ang labi nitong sobrang pula kahit na sa kan'yang kalagayan. I swallowed hard when his lips rose up. Napatingin ako sa adam's apple nito ng bigla itong gumalaw.

He was undeniably handsome! Tinignan ko ang kabuuang mukha nito at saka ko lang napansing moreno pala ito. Nakdagdag iyon sa kan'yang kagwapuhan.

"I know I'm handsome but staring is rude, Doctor Verzosa," he said.

Para akong tangang natauhan dahil sa kan'yang sinabi kaya kaagad akong lumayo mula sa kan'ya. Tumikhim ako at umiwas ng tingin bago iligpit ang mga gamit sa paglilinis ng mga sugat.

"I-I'm done cleaning your wounds, y-you can rest now," I bit my lower lip when I stuttered.

What the hell is happening to me? I didn't stutter infront of my patients before!

I heaved a sigh and as I stand up straight.

"I'll go now," paalam ko't kaagad siyang tinalikuran. Pero hindi pa man ako nakakalayo'y nagsalita ito ulit.

"I want you to be my private doctor," he said.

Huminga ako ng malalim bago humarap ulit sakan'ya.

"There's other doctor that is great than me in this hospital, Sir. And I'm sure they'll be a great help for your fast recove-"

"I want you," he said, completely cutting my words.

Napakurap ako ng ilang beses sa kan'yang sinabi.

"W-What?"

"I want you, not them," he said as he tried to lay down on his bed. Nataranta ako't kaagad siyang nilapitan.

"Careful," I said as I helped him lay down. Kanang kamay niya lang ang nakakagalaw pero hindi rin mas'yado dahil sa daming sugat na tinamo nito. "Don't use your left hand to avoid complications," I suggested.

It's just 3 days ago after his hand operation was successfully done. Mas'yado pa itong presko kaya kailangan ang dobleng ingat. Kailangan ito lagyan ng metal dahil it was severely broken. And it will take him 2-3 years to fully move his hand like before.

"I want to go home tomorrow and you have to come with me," he stated, more like an order to my ear. Kinunotan ko ito ng noo bago siya kumutan.

"I don't want to be your private docto-"

"No one dare to reject me, Doctor Verzosa. Incase you aren't informed yet," he dangerously said. Napalunok ako.

"I'm sorry Mr. Villegas but-"

"I want to talk to Dr. Lawton," he said that made me gulped again.

"I'll call him," I said as I turned my back at him.

Mabilis akong lumabas ng k'warto at halos tumalon ako sa tuwa nang makahinga ako ng maluwag. Para akong sinasakal kapag nasa loob ako kasama ni Mr. Villegas. Para bang sobrang bigat ng kan'yang pagkatao and it pressured me!

I was about to enter Doctor Lawton's office when my phone rang. It was my mother. Kaagad ko itong sinagot.

"Hello, Mom?" I answered.

"N-Nak!" Sigaw nito. Kinabahan ako nang marining ang malakas na hagulhol mula sa kabilang linya.

"M-Ma? Anong nangyayari?" Nag-aalala kong tanong.

"Your brother got into a fight! H-He almost killed a person! Kapag hindi tayo magbayad sa gusto nilang halaga ay makukulong ang kapatid mo!" Sigaw nito at humagulhol lalo.

Para akong binuhusan ng malamig na tubig dahil sa nalaman. I swallowed the lump in my throat before answering.

"M-Magkano po ba?" Kinakabahan kong tanong.

"They demanded 500 thousand," she answered that made my whole system corrupted. Nanghihina akong sumandal sa dingding.

"M-Ma, sobrang laki naman ata ng hinihingi nila?"

"N-Nak, napuruhan ng husto ang taong binugbog ng kapatid mo," paliwanag nito.

Napahawak ako sa sentido ko nang hindi malaman ang gagawin.

"Ano ba kasing nangyari? Bakit ganito kalala? Dati naman nang nakikipag basag-ulo 'yang batang iyan pero hindi naman ganito kalala!"

"H-Hindi ko alam, Nak. T-Tulungan mo ang kapatid mo," iyak nito.

Hindi ko na napigilan pa ang pagtulo ng luha sa mga mata ko dahil sa nangyari. Meron akong stable na trabaho pero hindi kami mayaman para magkaroon ng ganoon kalaking pera.

Business owners ang mga magulang namin pero sobrang laki ng five hundred thousand! It will take me years of working here in the hospital to have that amount of money!

"P-Please anak, m-maawa ka sa kapatid mo," pakiusap ni mama.

Kaagad kong pinunasan ang luha sa mga mata ko't inayos ang sarili.

"Susubukan ko," sagot ko bago pinatay ang tawag.

Mabilis akong kumatok ng ilang beses sa office ni Doctor Lawton at buti nalang ay nandito siya.

"C-Can I get a bigger salary if I accept the offer?" I asked.

His forehead knotted with my question.

"Of course, Doctor Verzosa. But you must remember, doctor should save people regardless of the amount of money,"

Kaagad akong tumango.

"I will never forget that, Sir. I will accept the offer," I said with finality.

Pagkatapos naming mag-usap ay kaagad akong bumalik sa k'warto ni Mr. Villegas. He was watching TV when I come in.

He quickly turn the TV off when he saw me. He looked at me seriously.

"Have you changed your mind?"

"Yes," saad ko't lumapit sakan'ya. "I will accept your offer in one condition," I stated.

His brows furrowed before nodding. "What condition?" He asked.

"I-I want to ask for an advance payment..." I said that made him sigh.

"People with their needs," he said, almost whispered. Nangunot ang noo ko.

"Anong sabi mo?" Tanong ko pero hindi niya ito pinansin. Tipid itong ngumiti saakin.

"Deal, how much do you want?" He asked.

"500 thousand," I answered.

"What if I don't give you that amount of money?"

"T-Then I'll not be your Private Doctor, you want me, right?"

"What made you desperate to have that amount of money?" Walang emosyon nitong tanong kaya napalunok ako.

"It's not your business anymore," I answered.

He gritted his teeth as he closed his eyes like he wanted to sleep.

"Can I get a benefit too after giving you the money?" He asked, still pretending to be asleep.

"I'll take care of you..." I said.

"That's given, you're a doctor," he said that made my brows furrow.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean..." dahan-dahan itong umangat sa higaan niya kaya kaagad ko itong tinulungan. His right hand holds my arm as he gets a support from it. Tumingala ako para maiwasan ang mukha niya nang hawakan ko ang ulo nito para makaupo siya ng tuluyan.

I was just busy helping him to sit when I suddenly felt his breaths in my neck. Nanigas ako't hindi makagalaw! Aalis na sana ako mula sa pagkakayuko nang hindi ko inasahan ang sunod niyang ginawa.

"I mean this," he said as he immediately put his lips into my neck!

My eyes widened! I was about to distance myself away from him when his right hand quickly wrapped my waist!

Damn!

"You smells so good," he complimented as he lick my neck. M-My neck!

Nanlak ang mga mata ko lalo!

Mr. Villegas just f-ckin lick my neck for pete's sake!
