BRITANNY'S POV

"WHAT?!" Haxilla shouted with a slam at the table.

"Will you just calm down? You're overreacting." I rolled my eyes on her. She sat down slowly without taking away her eyes on me like an idiot.

"When did you discover that?" Raven asked.

I sighed, "Last week. We're planning to tell this to everyone, next week, before we flew to Bangkok."

"Wait, why are you going to Bangkok?"

"We want to stay there for three years, perhaps. Haru recommended that place to us." Wade answered to Haxilla.

They sighed and looked at us. Wade and I already talked about it, we will move to Bangkok for our own good, he is scared that Samira will hurt us, the news that we're already married reached her. He told me that it's not impossible for Samira to take her vengeance to me or to our child.

We talked more about our plans when we got to Bangkok, Raven told us that he has a gynecologist friend there that can look after my health as a pregnant. Haxilla doesn't want us to move, but she can't do anything because it's also for my own good.

"How about Selena? Do you have any plans to tell this to her?"

I became quite to her question. Selena and I fought last time before I got married to Wade, she doesn't want me to be hurt because Samira isn't that ordinary woman to us now. Until now, she didn't want to talk to me, that's why I doubt that she'll listen to me, again.

"I don't know, it's hard to talk to her this time. Haru told me that she's been so busy in the company since it won the bidding for the self-catering robots."

"Still, she needs to know what you are up to. She will despise you for sure, if you didn't tell this to her." Haxilla crossed her arms and looked straight at me.

"I think you should make up to her before our departure." Wade said while holding my hands.

"Hmm, maybe I really should."

"Oh, why the atmosphere here is so heavy?" Nanny Karen asked when she suddenly appeared from nowhere.

"Nothing, mom." Raven smiled at her.

Nanny Karen looked at Wade, she still has fears in her eyes. She thought that Wade is the one who killed almost the whole family of Selena where she served for almost 20 years.

"Nanny, don't be scared to him, okay? He's a good person, don't worry." I smiled at her, she nods at me and point up her finger like she remembered something.

"What do you want to eat or anything? I'm going to the supermarket."

"No need, Nanny—"

"How many times do I need to tell you that you can call me 'mom' since you're the wife of my son?" Nanny asked as she slapped Haxilla's shoulder.

"Alright, alright, 'Mom', you don't need to go there. Britanny and I can buy those."

Nanny Karen shook her head and get her purse, "No, I don't trust you to buy groceries, you're always ended up in jewelries."

Haxilla hid her face, "Mom, you don't need to open up that here!" she whispered.

"You shouldn't be ashamed of that. I'm going now."

We laughed and Raven walked with her mom to the door.

"What's your plan now?" Wade asked all of a sudden.

"What do you mean?" Haxilla asked him back.

"About Nanny Karen and her past, including Selena-or should I say, Serena."

I looked at Haxilla, she knows the right time to the truth more than us. She looked away, probably, she's also doubting herself if ever she told the truth.

"I'm scared. I'm scared that Serena will hate me or us because we hid this to her for a long time," she said and sighed.

"Oh, Hershey, where are you going?" Wade asked when she saw the kid walking slowly towards us.

"I'm looking for grandma, she left this."

Hershey gave to her mom a handkerchief that has some stitches on it. It's Serena's name.

"I guess, Nanny Karen will look for her long-lost daughter-in-heart."

SELENA'S POV

"Selenaaa!" Alexa shouts while running to me. She holds my hands and her eyes are pleasing.

"What? Why?" I asked, she catches her breath first and showed a text message from her older sister.

"Help me to buy ingredients and party stuff for my niece's birthday. Your friend is an organizer, right? I'm sure you can help me with this one."

I sighed and looked at the documents that I'm working on, this is not that urgent to finish this today. I mean, I have plenty of time to finish this.

I nod at Alexa, "Wait me outside, I need to clean my desk first."

My eyes widened when she suddenly hugged me tightly,"Thank you so much!"

"Alright, wait me there."

She nods at me and excitedly get out of my office. I'm cleaning the folders at my desk when a piece of paper flew off the notebook. I picked it up and read what's written on it.

'Die'

My forehead creased, who put this note on my things? I shook my head and get my purse to go to the supermarket with Alexa.

"Let's go?"

We're walking in the hallway when we bumped to Haru that holding two thick folders and laptop. He stopped and looked at us, "Where are you going?"

"Ah, at the supermarket. Alexa asked to help her to buy party stuffs for her niece's birthday." He just nods at my answer.

"Did Jaxon know about it?"

"No, just tell him if ever he looks for me. We're going now."

"Take care."

We smiled at him and continued to walk to the parking lot. Alexa suddenly hold my trembling hands, I felt scared after what I've read in that note. Who could it be? Tsk.

"Did you receive another threat?" she asked, and I quietly nod at her. She sighed and opened the door of her car.

"Why don't you tell this to Jaxon? It's not just a prank anymore. It already scared you."

I sighed, "I don't know. I can't think of anything that I've done bad to receive this kind of threats, the sender is totally a mystery for me."

"You should be more careful this time. What do we know? Maybe, later on, they'll shoot you in the supermarket."

I glared at her, "And do you think it's a funny joke?"

"I'm not joking, Selena. I'm dead serious, stating what may happen to you so you can be alert and careful to your moves."

"You should feel me safe, but you just made me more paranoid."

She shrugged, "It's better to be safe than sorry."

"Whatever."

I get busy on business mails while we're on the road. Only the radio gives a noise inside the car.

"We're here."

We walked straight to the food section to buy ingredients. Alexa is the one who is looking at the list that we made earlier, so we can budget properly the money that her older sister gave.

"Why can't your sister do this?" I asked while picking a cheaper and tastier tomato sauce for their spaghetti.

"It's her third semester, her husband doesn't allow her to be tired since we will just need to count days before she gave birth to their second child."

I rolled my eyes and put the tomato sauce that I chose. Alexa moves the cart to vegetable section for the salad that they're going to make.

"Raw cabbage... where are you... Ah, found you." I put the raw cabbage at the cart, Alexa also put fruits and chocolate bars that made my forehead furrowed.

"Why did you put chocolate bars and fruits there?"

She chuckled, "I'm craving for chocolates. Let's go to frozen goods, Klea wants to have a roasted chicken and many meatballs."

"Who is Klea?" I asked. She looked at me while pushing the cart and chewing the chocolate that she put in the cart earlier. I bet that she's going to finish those chocolates before we get to the counter.

"She's my older sister," she pouted and opened another chocolate, "I thought you already know her."

"Huh? How can I know her? You never mentioned her name to me before," I rolled my eyes.

She slapped my shoulders, "Hey! I already told it for many times!"

"I can't remember."

"It's normal when you're getting older," she teased. I get the chocolate that she's eating.

"Hey—"

"I'm also craving for chocolate."

We reached the frozen goods section and Alexa get two whole chickens and five packs of meatballs. What the heck? What's wrong with this human?!

"That's too much, Alexa."

"Hmm? No, it's actually only for five persons... so we need more chicken and meatballs." She put another chicken and pack of meatballs.

"I thought you're just going to celebrate your niece's birthday? It's not too much for children's party?"

She holds her chin while looking at our cart, "It's fine. Also, our other relatives will come. Part of the tradition."

I just let her buy anything that she wanted. We're looking for drinks when Alexa bumped onto someone's cart.

"I'm sorry, I didn't saw you."

I looked at them and almost drop the beers that I'm holding when I saw the old woman that Alexa is talking to. She's the old woman that we saw in the highway before.

My heart skipped a beat when the old woman stared at my eyes, it feels like she's digging in to my soul. She walked slowly towards to me and hold my face, she's crying.

What's happening?

She suddenly hugged me tight while crying, "Serena, I found you finally."

Alexa looked confused while watching us, I'm also confused from what this old woman doing. Serena? Who is Serena?

"A-Ah, ma'am, I think you hugged a wrong person? I'm not Serena." I said politely but she is still hugging me.

"No. It's impossible that I'm wrong. You're Serena, my baby."

It makes me more confused, so I looked at Alexa, asking for help to remove this old woman from her hug to me. Alexa slowly removed the old women's hands.

"Ma'am, we don't know what you're up to, but she's not Serena, she's Selena. It's letter 'L' not 'R'." Alexa politely explained, but the granny insisted that I'm Serena.

"Do you have any companions, ma'am?" I asked, but she shook her head.

"Ahm, alright. Do you know someone that can pick you up here or to go with you shopping here?"

"My son. But, I don't know his number."

I closed my eyes and calming myself. I get my phone and set it ready to call someone, "What's the name of your son?"

"Raven. Raven Demetrius."

I stopped from typing when I heard the name. The old woman just staring at me like she really found the thing that she lost long time ago.

"Raven."

[Yes, Selena?]

"There's an old woman here, and she said that she's your mother. I think, she lost her mind, she even called me Serena—"

[Are you still with her?]

"Y-yes. Why?"

[I'm going there.]

And he hung up the call, Alexa leaned closer to me to whisper something, "Did she lost her mind?"

"I don't know. But, Raven could be somehow related to her."

"How?"

"It's just what I feel, right now."

Minutes have passed, Raven came with his wife, also Wade and Britanny. What's happening? Why do they look scared and panicked?

"Let's go." Raven said to the old woman and pulls her up to go, but the woman refused to go.

"No, I want to stay with Serena."

"Mom, can we just go? You're tired."

"Mom? So she's really your mother? I thought your mother already died?" I bombed questions to them because I can't understand a thing now.

Haxilla helped Raven to convince the old woman to go, "Mom, Serena is already dead—"

"What are you saying? She's alive, it's her!" she said while pointing at me.

Raven and Wade pulled up the woman and dragged her out of the supermarket. Britanny and Haxilla followed them.

"What... happened?" Alexa asked.

"I don't know, let's go."

We're about to walk, but the old woman shouted, "I need to talk to her! I'm her Nanny Karen!"

My forehead creased and my heart pumped so hard.
