HAXILLA'S POV

"Oh, what are you doing here?" I asked Selena when she suddenly visited us. She didn't answer me and ran to Hershey's room.

"She's sleeping, tired from playing in the park earlier." I explained.

She smiled at Hershey and looked at me, "You raised an angel, Hax."

I looked at Hershey that peacefully sleeping in her crib, "I actually didn't expect that I'm going to be a mother like this."

I walked back to the kitchen to check the food that I'm cooking, Selena followed me and sat at the high stool chair. Furthermore, I pour her a juice and a piece of pie that Raven bought earlier.

"How's the feeling of being a mother?" she asked while stirring her juice. I smiled and add some spices before I answer her.

"It's hard, but when you saw your daughter and husband smiling at you, everything became easier. I mean, they remove all of my fears and doubts as a mother."

"Wow, I didn't expect you to answer me like that. Before, you almost killed yourself because you didn't want to be a mother. But now, you sound like a mother's association ambassador," she said and laughed silently.

"Silly, anyway, what are you doing here? You don't have an office now?"

"I just stop by here from my lunch break. It's so stressful in the office, too many documents and business designs need to be done." She pouted and eat the pie.

"Go back to your office now and do it. You're not excepted even you're the CEO's fiancée." I wiped my hands and sat in the other side of the counter.

She rolled her eyes, "I know. Everyone is teasing us unstoppable after what happened last night, even our business partners."

"It's normal, they're going to tease you about a day, after that everything get back to normal," I explained.

"Yeah," she answered, her eyes roamed the whole kitchen and her forehead creased when she saw something, "Who owns that knitting kits?"

I looked at the knitting kits that she's talking about, my eyes widened when I realized that it was Nanny Karen's.

"Ahm, I bought it. You know, when boredom attacks." I laughed awkwardly while hiding the knitting kits. She nods and looked at her phone.

"Oh, I need to go now. Bye, thanks for the pie," she said and leave the house. I sighed deeply in relief that she didn't ask more about it.

Minutes later, Nanny Karen and Raven went home. I helped them with the groceries to put it in the kitchen, Nanny Karen noticed the glass and plate in the sink.

"Do you have a visitor before we came?"

"Uh... none. I just used that plate accidentally. I'm starving while cooking our food."

She nods at me, "Where's my knitting kits? I forgot to put it back, where should it be."

"It's on the first drawer there. I hid it," I said, Raven looking at me with meanings. I know what he wanted to ask me.

When Nanny Karen isn't around already, Raven helped me to arrange the fruits in the fridge.

"Did Selena came here?"

I nod, "Yes, I didn't know that she'll visit me here."

"It's fine, at least they didn't meet each other."

"How long do we need to hide them from each other? We can't keep like this forever."

We stood up and closed the fridge when we're done arranging the fruits there. He leaned to the counter and stared at the floor, "I don't know. In the right time, maybe."

"When is that 'right time'?"

He sighed and hugged from the back, "Relax, okay? We will tell them once all the things are in the settle already."

"What are you talking about there?" Nanny Karen suddenly appeared in our front while holding a handkerchief. It's Selena's!

"N-Nothing important, mom." Raven answered. I'm staring at the handkerchief on her hand while my whole system is already in panic.

"By the way, I saw this handkerchief on the floor of Hershey's room," she said while giving to me the handkerchief, "It's maybe yours. You have a same cologne as Serena when you're still young."

I awkwardly smiled and hid the handkerchief at my pocket, "Yes, uhm, I slowly like her cologne."

"Alright, I'll go to my room now."

She walked away, and I felt my knees weakened because of too much nervousness that Selena and Nanny Karen gave me.

"Are you okay?" Raven asked and helped me to sit in the high stool chair.

I nod at him, "It's Selena's. Maybe, she dropped this when she ran to Hershey's room."

Raven took the handkerchief and hugged me. I don't want to keep this secret forever, but I know that sooner or later they'll know about this.

SELENA'S POV

"Hey—"

"Oh God, thanks, you're here now," Alexa said and immediately dragged me to her office. She's the accounting manager, I'm sure that something happened about the company's money.

She opened her desktop, do some clicks and showed me the number of unsold models of units that we launched last week, "It's bad. We didn't meet the quota of this model. Argh, I'm afraid to tell this to Mr. Silvenia."

"We will experience bankruptcy if we didn't do anything about this. What happened to the marketing department? They're responsible for this, right?"

She sat down and hold her head, "I already asked them about it, they said that someone sabotaged us. All the advertisements in all social media platforms vanished in no time. It's hard to sell this kind of model without advertising."

I leaned to the chair and massaged my temple, this is really bad. The company invested huge money to this money, hoping that we can get a large profit. Bankruptcy is the end of this problem if we didn't do something immediately, but how? We already used the budget for the advertising, it's hard to use the money for the other expenses here.

"When did you know about this?" I asked Alexa.

"Earlier, Brianna told me about this."

I stood up and ran to Jaxon's office. My forehead creased when I saw many employees standing in the front of his office.

"She came back."

"What will happen now to Ms. Selena? Tsk tsk."

"I heard that Sir Jaxon will marry Ms. Maxine as his father's wish."

My heart thumped when I heard the employees, I ran through to reach the office's door. I widely opened the door, my knees weakened from what my eyes saw in his office.

"Selena..."

"So you are Selena," Maxine said while looking at me from head to toe. I feel like she's judging me by her looks, I want to pinch her eyes, grr.

I saw her sitting on Jaxon's lap earlier, but Jaxon is not looking at her, like he's avoiding her. That's right, if I caught him staring on any part of Maxine's body, his eyes will be meatballs in his spaghetti.

I rolled my eyes at her and faced Jaxon, I leaned to whisper the problem. He just nods and leaned to his chair like he already knew about it, he looked at Maxine that fixing her fake nails.

"What do you want?" he asked Maxine. She smiled widely and about to walk closer to Jaxon, but I slammed the table and glare at her.

She sighed, "Fine, your father wants you to marry me, so my company will help your company for the upcoming bankruptcy." She sat again and stares at Jaxon.

"WHAT?! DID YOU ALREADY LOSE YOUR MIND?!" I shouted at her, she just shrugged and stood up.

"I'll give you over a year, maybe, to think about this. If you resolve this within a year without my help, then fine, my job is done here." She walked out to the office. I bury my head in my palms, my heart beats so fast that it'll tremble my whole body.

Jaxon hold my hands and head to look at him, "I don't want to marry her. We will find a door to escape this problem, okay?"

"No, that's what your father wants, marry her." I'm about to walk away from him, but he pulls me back and kissed my lips.

My tears already escaped from my eyes. I'm afraid to lose him, but the company gave him life, I understand his father why he needed to do this kind of decision.

He moved away and looked in my eyes, "She threatened my father, that's why she's confident that I'm going to kneel for her. You're the one that I want to marry, okay? Stop crying, my princess."

I hugged him tightly, this situation somehow familiar to me, like it already happened to me before. This kind of hugs and comfort every time that I'm scared and sad, it's like how my mom hug me before.

"Ms. Selena? Ms. Selena, Sir Jaxon needs you in his office."

I woke up and looked around, I'm on my office and Lanni is standing in my front. I wipe my drool and fixed myself, "Does Maxine already left the company?"

My forehead creased as her forehead creased too to my question, "Yes... almost five years ago."

"Five years ago? She came here earlier, she also seduced Jaxon in his office, tss." I said as I crossed my arms and leaned to my chair.

"She... didn't come here earlier, Ms. Selena. There's no Maxine stepping in here again."

I looked at her, "Really?", she nods at me and said that Jaxon is waiting for me at his office and left. "So, that's only a dream? A nightmare? Ah no, it's not a nightmare, there's still a sun in the sky."

"Tsk, even on my dreams, she's destroying my life. But, why does it feel so real? Maybe, it's real, they're just—"

A ringtone cut my monologue. Who this is again?

"Hel—"

[WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!]

I moved away the phone from my ears when he shouted, "What's the matter?"

[Come over here, we need to talk.]

"Yes, we really need to talk." I said seriously.

[W-Wait, what happen? Why you sound—]

I didn't let him finish his words and immediately hung up the call. Let's see if that's only a dream.

"Oh you're here. Look what you've done—"

"Did Maxine show up here?" I cut his words.

"W-What?"

"Did Maxine show up here?!" I shouted, he walked closer to me and shook his head.

"Maxine already flew to Korea. Why do you ask if she showed up here?"

I didn't answer him and sat on the couch, it's really a dream. But, why I can't convince myself that it's only a dream?

He threw a folder to me, it's the documents I made to request a vehicle machine from London. What's wrong with this?

"Why did you put your bucket list there?"

My eyes widened, "I put that here?"

"Do I need to call you if I didn't found anything strange in that document?" he asked furiously.

I pouted and leaned while tearing out the paper where I put my bucket list, "How would I know? I thought you just missed me."

"Huh? I almost see you every hour here around the company."

"Tss, fine. I'll do this again."

"Hurry up. We need to give that documents before the dawn."

"It's really his fault why I dreamed that Maxine sat on his lap, that jerk, grr." I whispered and slammed the door.

I sat down and starts to type again the documents. There's a mail arrived, but I ignored it because I need to finish this immediately. Another three mails arrived, so I became curious about it.

' Selena, I saw your Nanny Karen earlier, she's still beautiful.'

"Nanny Karen?" I continued reading all the mails.

'Ahh, how's your relationship with Jaxon? I heard that you're already engaged. Congratulations, you made this story more exciting for me, what kind of gun should I use in your wedding?'

'Live with happiness now, Selena. You shouldn't meddled in our business, pity you, you're the main target now.'
