I Don't Care But Play

I was shocked when he walked in. Why was he here? What was he looking for? It seemed like he came for trouble but he was actually calmer than anyone in that space.

Harrison seemed to recognize him too, but he was not dazed by him.

"Yes, how may I help you...Mr...Reign?" He raised his voice immediately.

As if he had not heard anyone speak, Jordan walked towards us and sent a dreadful stare at Karima, she immediately took her face down.

"3PM, that was the instruction." He let out calmly but in annoyance.

"I am sorry, sir. There's been a bit of a situation."

He moved his gaze away from her and to me, then he just stared. In return, I moved my own eyes to Karima, questioning her non-verbally about what was going on. 3PM? What was supposed to happen then?

"You were supposed to play for him by 3, plans changed." She mentioned and an 'o' escaped my lips. I realized he was still staring at me and I took my eyes down immediately.

"Join me up there in ten minutes. I don't care about what has happened here." He affirmed authoritatively and I guess there was no one that could ignore his orders.

As I attempted to follow him, I felt a grip on my arm, it was Harrison.

"What nonsense? She's serving me here and won't leave until she is done!" He asserted, countering Jordan's words.

Jordan halted his steps and turned around. "Does it look like I care?" He raised his brows. He closed his eyes and brought his head down and the moment he lifted his face, his eye colour had changed in an amber colour.

I could only see it because I was quite up close. They looked so beautiful but fiery.

Harrison's hand was still on mine, he was refusing to let go. On the other hand, Jordan's rage seemed to have increased and the only thing Karima and I could do was just watch!

Jordan no longer said anything as he only sent a signal to Kai, who lunged forward and towards Harrison afterwards. Some of Harry's men tried to stop but within a split second, I could loudly hear bone fractures.

Kai aimed for the old man's neck immediately and tightened his grip against it. His hand naturally slipped off my arm because of the situation he was in.

Looking at Kai's eyes, he seemed ruthless. He was literally lifting Harrison's legs from the ground by just strangling him with a hand.

Somewhere in my heart, I was scared for the old man, he should not die, not even in my presence. I glanced at Karima and it seemed like she had seen this so many times, she did not seem dazed and when she saw my expression, she assured me with a gesture that he would not die.

Mr. Reign was waiting impatiently by the way. "Come with me." He ordered but Karima chipped in.

"Ugh...Sir, I don't think she can play in her situation. Her head is dripping with blood and so she needs a quick medical attention." She pleaded humbly.

"I don't care." Jordan replied coldly and I dragged my feet after him all the way to his suite.

I could not believe everything that had just happened. Despite being in a critical situation like that, he was still bent on having me play the piano for him. Could he be any heartless?

Apart from the guys standing outside the entrance of the suite, we were the only ones on that floor. I got behind the piano in a bloody shirt, painful state to play another classical music for him.

I did not started until he instructed me to. The dude walked inside and in a few minutes, I started hearing the sound of the bathroom shower. The guy was freshening up!

There was I, feeling disgusted by everything I was feeling at that moment. The feeling of having some liquid getting dried on my skin, scalp and getting mixed with my hair was annoying. What about the pain? The smell?

He made it seem like it was very urgent for me to play and if I did not, he would die. Guess who's taking a shower and keeping me waiting now?

Heavens knew how much I was annoyed. Subconsciously and as a result of my annoyance, I just played with the keys, making unpleasant sounds.

At some point, I could feel something burn within me, then I could feel a sudden change about me. I saw a glow, in the ceramic part of the piano, it was so evident and sharp.

They were my eyes. Ocean blue colour and sparkly. Then so loudly in my ears I heard, 'Kierra'.

"Argh." I released as I felt a sharp pain in my head. It was not even the injury now. Within another split second, I was okay again with just the pain from the injury left.

 What happened?

"Start playing." I heard him say. I did not even realize that the shower had stopped, talk more of his presence. While wondering if he had seen me in that weird state earlier, I placed my fingers on the piano keys.

I could not focus and stopped at the beginning, then I turned my face a bit to his direction, without looking at him.

"I am sorry, I will start it all over." I apologized but heard nothing from him.

I took deep breaths and started playing again, this time with a bit of more energy and life. I was trying to stop being angry within too so I poured my soul in playing.

The piece was quite a long one so my fingers were moving fast for straight twenty minutes. I wanted to enjoy and savour it too, and that...I did.

The moment I wrapped it up, I opened my eyes and stopped the 'head dance'. Everywhere was so quiet and if a pin fell, it would be heard.

I stood up from the leather bench when I did not hear anything from him. He was on that same spot where he was sitting the last time, with a...glass of red wine this time around.

He did not spare me a glance until he was done drinking the contents of that wine glass.

I bowed my head to him and made an attempt to leave.

 "Wait." He said.

Why???!

I turned to him, waiting for the other instruction that was to come. "Follow me." He instructed. Where to?

I did not know until he stood up and walked straight into his suite.

What were we going there to do?? Why there???
