Chapter 197

As soon as she was gone and out of his sight. Grey mounted the stairs. He got into the study room and in a fierce anger, he threw away every thing laying idly on the table over to the floor.

He groaned in pain and hurt as he flung the desk in disarray. With that done, he crumbled to the floor, finding it hard to breathe as short gasped of painful tears gathered in his eyes and threatened to surface.

"Maya, you don't have to go. This can be settled," Gwen said to Maya in a pleading voice, outside the pack gate.

Maya shook her head. "This cannot be settled, Gwen. I believe in Grey a lot and I do love him, but, this is the last straw that I can take. I do not know what has gotten into him, but, I cannot handle it any longer," she replied in a tear filled voice.

"Maya," Gwen began to say pitifully so she could stay, but Maya stood her ground, declining to stay back in the pack house.

Just then, Zing showed up. "What'
