CHAPTER 3.

Alexis woke up in an unfamiliar room and she sat up on the bed. This is not the room wherein she was in a while ago. She looks around and this room has a princess theme.

Where am I? how did I get in here without me knowing? Who took me here? Alexis asked at the back of her mind.

"I'm happy to see you..." Alexis looked around when she heard a voice of a woman but she didn't see anyone. She tried to move but she can't.

"Please, don't be afraid. I won't hurt you, my dear." She said but Alexis still can't see her. She afraid now because she can't see the woman talking to her and she's not familiar with this place.

"You'll remember me soon, my dear." When the woman said that, Alexis pass out again.

Alexis woke up when she felt someone is slapping her softly on her cheeks. When she opened her eyes, she saw Acario and the others.

They are all looking at her worriedly. She sat down on the bed then look around. She's already back here in her and she sighed then held her forehead.

"Are you okay? What happened? We saw that you're unconscious on the floor a while ago." Acario stated.

"I'm fine. I think I was just too tired that's why I passed out. I'm sorry for worrying you." Alexis answered him.

She doesn't want to tell them about her dream because she thought that they're not close enough for her to share that to them.

"Are you sure?" Alexis nodded at Ace when he asked her that. "I'm sure." She convinced him. Ares helped her to get up from the bed.

"Let's go. You need to eat for you to get your strength back." Don stated and they took her to the dining room for them to eat.

They are now eating silently and Alexis still can't forget about her dream. Who's that lady anyway? Why can't I see her face? Some of those questions are popping out from her mind.

"About the deal between me and your parents..." Alexis looked at Acario when he said something. He's holding the wine glass and playing with him.

"They told me that you didn't know who are your parents and where you came from." Alexis nodded at him. He's still playing with the glass.

"They told me to let you stay here and give you money, shelter, and everything with one condition."

"And that is...?" Alexis asked nervously. She's wishing that it's not that hard to make or do. And she also wishes that it's not connected with her body. She doesn't want that to happen.

"And that is you're going to be our maid here. You're going to clean the house, sweep the floor and everything starting tomorrow." Acario explained.

"That's... all?" They all nodded at her. Alexis sighed in relief because she thought that they're going to make her life miserable while she's staying here.

I guess, I'm wrong? She asked from her mind.

"I understand, I'll do that." Alexis said then they all smiled at her except Aitan. She didn't know what's his problem now. He's the only one who looks so intimidating.

"Alex, you're not allowed to cook because that's my job and you're only allowed to help with the preparation." Don stated.

"I understand, Don. I won't disturb you while you're cooking." Alexis answered and he laughed softly.

"What time is your class tomorrow?" Alric asked. Alexis took a sip of water first before answering his question.

"7 AM to 1 PM. I only have two subjects left before graduation." Alexis answered him.

"I see. Let us know if you need help with your studies. We'll help you." Alexis nodded at him then they went back to eating.

"Don?" She called him when she remembered something important.

"Yeah?"

"Let me use the kitchen sometime to practice my skills in cooking." She stated and he nodded.

"Sure. Just tell me when for me to help you. I'll teach you everything that you need to learn." Alexis nodded with a smile.

"Thank you very much, Don. I appreciate your help." She answered then continue eating.

"If you need some ingredients, just tell me so that, I can make sure that they are all complete when the time comes."

"yes, I understand." Alexis confirmed then they all continued eating their dinner.

Alexis came back here inside her room and she opened her baggage for her to fix her things here in her room. They need to prepare it.

While fixing her things, she felt a pair of eyes staring directly at her. She looked at the direction of those eyes and she saw Aitan staring seriously at her.

"W-what are you doing here? How did you get in here without me knowing?" She asked him. She's confused because she didn't felt his presence until now.

"I want to know about your dream." She creased her forehead because of what he said. She stood up and walk backwards.

"W-what?!"

"I said, I want to know about your dream!" He shouted. Alexis ran towards the door and when she was about to open it, he stopped her.

He hugged her from behind then throws her on the bed. When she was about to escape him, he held his hands and pinned her on the bed.

She's so scared at him now. She can feel that he wants to kill her now. She shakes in fear because she knows that he can hurt her now.

"P-please, let me go." She said softly. She wanted to shout at him but she can't. She's too scared to shout at him now.

"Tell me about your dream, little princess." He said again. Alexis don't know the reason why he wants to know about her dreams.

"W-what do you want to know about it?" She asked him. She wanted him to let her go now. She tried shaking him away but he's too strong.

"Don't be stubborn, little princess!" He shouted then he held her hands tightly. "Ahh!" Alexis screamed in pain.

"Ahh! Help me!" She screamed again and tried to shake him away from her. She can't take this anymore. She's too scared now.

Use your power to protect yourself from harm, my dear Ophelia.

"Get off me, you lowly demon!"

Acario and the others are hanging out on the garden while drinking some beer. They are talking about Aitan's behavior.

"We should do something about that kid before it's too late." Acario stated while drinking some beer.

"We agree about that. He's being aggressive in his own way." Ares agreed.

"We should do something before he hurt her." Alric stated then looked up to the sky then sighed.

"Ahh! Help me!" They all stood up when they heard Alexis' scream. They all run towards her room to know what happened to her.

"Get off me, you lowly demon!" Alexis shouted at Aitan then her eyes begin to change - from black it became red and she pushed Aitan away from her.

Acario and the others already arrived from Alexis' room and all of them are shocked when they saw Alexis beginning to change.

Her features are becoming different from the usual. Her red eyes, her hair turning into red, her long and sharp nails, and her long and sharp teeth.

Alexis stood up from her bed and walk towards Aitan. She grabbed him by the neck and choke him. Aitan tried to free himself but he can't.

"You lowly demon has no right to touch a royalty like me." Alexis said and when she was about to kill Aitan, Acario and the others stopped her.

They all ran towards Alexis and she let go of Aitan. Aitan cough while catching his breath. Alexis glared at them all.

"W-wait. Just calm down, your majesty. No one's going to hurt you now. We promise." Alric said.

"Please, your majesty... You may now rest easy because no one will hurt you. We assure you that." Ares said.

Alexis' demon features are now disappearing slowly until she fainted. Ace caught her and he lay her down on her bed.

He put a blanket on her and look back to Aitan. Acario grabbed Aitan by his shirt and dragged him out from Alexis' room.

"I think we should leave her first." Ace commented and they all nodded at each other. They all leave Alexis inside her room while sleeping peacefully.
