CHAPTER 5.

Ares found Alric inside his laboratory downstairs doing some herbal medicines before going to their hospital.

"Alric!" Alric looked at him and Ares stopped from running and he's catching his breath. He sat down beside him.

"Something wrong? Did something happen? Did you lose one of your books?" Alric asked him.

"Some... one... went inside... my room..." Ares stated while catching his breath. Alric creased his forehead.

"Someone? Who? Did you see his face?" Alric asked and Ares shook his head sideways.

"I didn't see his face. He's looking down while saying something but I didn't hear it enough." Ares answered.

"I see... We should strengthen our defense and let's tell the others about that someone." Alric suggested then they went to their other brothers' room.

Alexis arrived in the campus, while walking towards the room, someone grabbed her by the arm and she saw Zylo staring at her like she's his prey.

"Let go of me!" She demanded. Alexis shook her arm for Zylo to let her go. But he held her arm tighter than before and she glared at him while he's smirking at her.

"My Alexis, why don't you just come to me? I want you to be mine and to be my girlfriend." He stated while smirking.

"Why don't you just stop? I don't like you." Alexis snapped at him. He glared at her and she can totally see his anger through his eyes.

"What is the reason why you don't like me? I can give you everything and anything that you want." He stated.

"I am good looking, I have everything and most especially I can give you everything that you want. I'll do everything for you."

"You're boastful, arrogant, forceful, and most especially a bully." Alexis answered to his question. She removed his hand from her arm then left him there.

When Alexis arrived inside the classroom, she immediately sat down to her chair and read a book to study.

She doesn't have anything to do so, why not study? She sighed when she remembered something.

What is happening lately to me? Is this some effect of home sick because I'm living at my new home?

I should ask someone about this for me not to be bothered anymore. I know that I'm safe there but, why do I feel something is happening that I didn't know?

Alexis' thoughts are now getting the best of her that's why she immediately shakes it off and read the book again to study.

While reading, someone grabbed the book away from her and she saw Zylo. He's really a freaking bully that why Alexis doesn't like him.

"What do you want jerk?" She asked. He smirked then sat down beside her. He stared at her and she glared at him.

"To be honest, I'll give you this book but you should be mine first."

"I won't. This is the reason why I don't like you, Zylo. You're forceful and annoying." She commented at him. She grabbed the book away from him and went away from him.

She sat down beside the wall on the last row, away from him and continued studying. She really wants him to stop bugging her because he's too annoying now.

"Alexis, you hate me because I'm forceful and annoying to you? Then fine, I'll change myself to the better for you. I'll make you like me." He declared.

Alexis didn't mind him anymore and just concentrate to the book that she was reading while waiting for the professor.

"Class dismissed." The professor said and Alexis stood up. She fixed her things then went out of the room. When she was about to go home, someone grabbed her by the arm again.

"What do you want again, Zylo?! I told you, I don't like you!" She stated. She crossed her arms and looked at him.

"Why don't you just give me a chance to prove myself to you? I can be a better guy for you." He stated and Alexis sighed.

"Fine. I'll give you a chance but don't get your hopes up." She answered him. He smiled at her and held her hand.

"Let's eat. My treat." He invites her then she came with him to eat. She's not that heartless for her not to give him any chance.

They're here in a mini café outside the school and waiting for their orders. Alexis is looking through the window and watching every people passing by.

"Alexis, I know that you hate me but I want to know what's your type. I'll change for you." He said. She looked back at him.

"I don't have any types. It'll come naturally though. I'll like the person if there's something good in him." She answered.

Alexis didn't answer his question because she doesn't want him to change to the standard that she wants.

She thought that he might change to the standard that she wants and he'll become the person who's not him anymore.

"I see... So, I'll just going to give a reason to like me back." He stated then the waiter came and give their orders.

Alexis has the Black Forrest Cake and Lemon Juice while Zylo is having a Baked Mac and Cheese and a coffee.

"So, how're studies? I heard that you're running to be Summa Cum Laude." He stated and she nodded.

"It's good. I'm studying every day for me to have a bright future and to have a lots of opportunities after graduating." She answered.

"I want to do everything that I want to do." She added and smiled. She is free to do everything but of course, she still need to be careful while at home.

"I see... I wish that you're free and happy after graduation. If you need help, I'm here." He stated and went silent while eating their snacks.

They're walking to the side of the road and Zylo offered her that he'll take her home safe and sound. He wants to make sure that she's safe from everything and anything.

"hey, thank you for giving me a chance. I appreciate it." He stated. "I'm not that heartless but don't let your hopes up." She reminded him.

"I understand." He answered then she stopped walking when she saw the mansion. She looked back at him.

"I should go now. Be careful on your way home." She told him and went inside the mansion. She went to the garden for her to see it.

After Alexis went inside the mansion, Zylo sighed and smiled then turned around to go home when he felt some heat from his chest.

He checked that and he saw a mark there. He frowned when he saw the mark on his chest.

"I hate this mark. I really should find my mate now." He stated then look back at the mansion.

"So, she's not the one, huh? But I'll befriend her then. I want to be her friend." He commented at himself then went on his way.

Alexis haven't seen the garden yesterday because something happened. When she arrived at the garden, she saw a lot of flowers there.

There are also a lot of vegetables and fruits here. She went toward the tree full of mangoes. She wanted to get one.

She looked around to find something that she can use to get a mango from the tree but she didn't see anything.

"Do you want one?" She looked at the person who asked her and she saw Aitan. She creased her forehead when she saw a collar on his neck.

"When did you became a dog for you to wear something like that?" Aitan immediately glared at her.

"Is that a new fashion for guys?" She asked him again while pointing on his neck. He frowned and shook his head sideways.

"Don't mind that. Do you want the mangoes?" She nodded. Aitan grabbed a basket then climb up to the tree.

"Be careful, okay?" She reminded him then he continues his way up to the tree to get some mangoes.

What happened anyway? Why he's being nice to me now?
