Chapter 8: No Escape from the Past

Olivia Blake's words left Nathaniel Cross frozen in his tracks, staring at the woman before him in disbelief.

Despite her attempt to conceal her emotions when uttering those words, he could still see clearly the fear hidden in her eyes.

Vivian  had informed Olivia Blake a week prior to arriving and insisted she pick up, because she didn't have any other relatives or friends in the country, it would be depressing and lonely to not be picked up.

"Ah, crap! I completely forgot about it. Hold on, I'm coming!" Olivia Blake quickly hung up the phone, threw on a fresh set of clothes and rushed to the airport.

Feeling his intense gaze, she unconsciously stepped back, her eyes starting to dart around, as his eyes were filled with a terrifying murderous intent.

"Uh..." Suddenly, her lips were sealed.

"Nathaniel Cross, uh!" Olivia Blake wanted to roar in anger, but it transformed into a vaguely suggestive whisper when it reached her lips.

Damn it!

He always treated her like this, without any concern for her dignity and feelings.

Olivia Blake raised her hand in an attempt to push Nathaniel Cross away, but before she could touch him, he had already grabbed her wrist, pulling her onto the couch, his kisses growing even more rough. 

The servants in the house had already retreated.

At this moment, Nathaniel Cross's hand had slipped under her clothes. Each touch of his fingers against her smooth skin sent a jolt of electricity through her, stimulating her nerves like sparks of fire.

She writhed under him, twisting and turning, unaware that her movements were only stoking Nathaniel Cross's desire. 

"Stop moving! Or I'll take you right here!" 

The hoarseness in his voice was hypnotic, completely overwhelming Olivia Blake.

Kelvin Ross once said that Nathaniel Cross was a calamity that Olivia Blake could never escape in her lifetime!

After getting married, she was well aware that it was indeed a calamity she could never avoid. 

And she didn't want to escape it!

"Nathaniel Cross, get away from me!" 

She was clear-minded. 

Even if he was being gentle, Olivia Blake at this moment was still lucid, telling herself she would never fall into his tender trap again.

Nathaniel Cross's gaze grew colder bit by bit. 

The smile on his lips was devilishly charming. 

Suddenly, he ripped her expensive dress apart, reducing it to shreds in an instant.

Before Olivia Blake could react, he did not hesitate and pressed her down.

A wave of pain washed over her, causing Olivia Blake's eyebrows to contract and her eyes to mist over in tears.

 Biting her lip firmly, she refused to let out any sound.

 However, the more she resisted, the angrier Nathaniel Cross became, until he finally started to possess her manically.

At some point, the lip she was biting began to loosen due to Nathaniel Cross's kisses, her uttered sounds of shame accompanying his whispers, until he led her to an inexpressible place.

The following morning, Olivia Blake was lying on the bed, the soft blanket just covering her waist and revealing her fair skin to the air without any modesty.

Nathaniel Cross had put on his clothes, his expression still icy as it always was, but there was a tenderness in his eyes that he could not hide.

 He watched her for a few seconds before leaving.

Only when she heard the door close did Olivia Blake open her eyes. 

Scenes from the last night were still fresh in her mind, which caused her cheeks to pinky. As someone she intended to divorce, she couldn't understand why he had carried her away.

After taking her in the living room, he had taken her again in their bedroom. She had no idea how many times they had done it last night, and how many times she had responded with mewling.

As she was about to roll over, she gasped, her body was sore all over!

"Miss? The young master said that you don't have to go to the company today, so you can rest at home," said the housekeeper, knocking at the door.

"I understand!" Olivia Blake murmured, shamefacedly covering herself with the blanket.

 Before long, she fell asleep again.

Olivia Blake didn't know how long she had slept for, but it was the jarring ringtone of her phone that woke her up.

 "Hello!"

"What do you mean hello? Olivia Blake, don't tell me you're still dreaming?" 

The displeased voice of Vivian Kane came through the phone.

 If Vivian Kane were present, she'd probably beat Olivia Blake up.

"Vivian?" 

Olivia Blake wasn't quite awake yet, and said in a daze, "What's going on?"

"Damn! You're really asleep! I've been back in the country today and I have been waiting at the airport for you for an hour and a half!" 

Vivian Kane was practically on the verge of spewing blood from anger.
