Chapter 4: No Love Left to Lose

"Rules? Ha!" Olivia Blake shook her head, "When did you, Mr. Cross, ever have any rules? You managed to even bring women into your office, and you talk about rules?"

"What nonsense are you talking about? Margaret Seth and I are truly in love!" The woman screamed again, which made Olivia Blake finally remember who she was.

Olivia, a rising star, suddenly gained popularity again due to Cross's advertising endorsement. No wonder, so she managed to hook up with Nathaniel Cross. That explains how she could get such a good advertisement collaboration.

"Truly in love? Did Nathaniel Cross ever say that he loves you?" Olivia Blake raised an eyebrow.

Olivia blanched at her words, desperately looking at Nathaniel Cross, hoping he would say those three words to her. However, he acted as if he saw nothing, angrily pushed her away, and glared at Olivia Blake dangerously with half-closed eyes.

He picked up the cover from the desk and threw it on the floor, frightening Olivia Blake to step back several times.

"Whether I love someone or not, Olivia Blake, I will never love you, not in this lifetime!" His chilly demeanor enveloped everything, then froze.

"I know you don't love me. I'm not the same person as I was six months ago, and I don't love you. In the past six months, you have worn out all the love I had for you. Cross Margaret Seth, you've had your fill in the daytime; it's only natural that you won't perform at night." She wasn't sure how she could say such shameless words. Every whisper that came out of his office would enrage her. Before, she endured it because she was afraid he would kick her out. But now, she was not afraid anymore. She just wanted to escape from him.

Nathaniel Cross curled his lips, his gaze becoming more dangerous. His sharp features were like ice daggers, ready to pierce Olivia Blake's heart at any moment.

"Get out!"

"Margaret Seth, I don't want to!" Olivia knew Nathaniel Cross was addressing her and immediately responded in a coquettish tone.

"Out!" His cold voice had no trace of warmth.

Olivia stomped her foot, unwilling, but dared not stay here. After all, Nathaniel Cross was a wealthy patron she barely managed to hook up with. He was not only rich and powerful, but most importantly, he could help further her career. And if she became the mistress of the Cross family, what wouldn't be possible then?

"Alright, then I'll leave first. You go ahead with your work!" As she was leaving, she didn't forget to give Olivia Blake a disdainful look.

"Undress!" Nathaniel Cross slumped his legs on the desk and watched Olivia Blake with interest.

Olivia Blake was stunned, not understanding what he was saying, only knowing that his eyes were devilishly charming.

However, Nathaniel Cross had already withdrawn his gaze, casually touching his brows with his fingers, in such a manner that any woman would fall for him.

"Weren't you the one who said that I can't come home at night? Then I will try with you during the day, strip off!"

Olivia Blake instantly shuddered, the intense heat of humiliation felt like filthy water, rushing into her heart, stirring her clean blood into a murky mess.

"Have you gone mad!"

"No!" Nathaniel Cross stood up, "You're too lousy!"

Olivia Blake could no longer hold back, she raised her hand wanting to slap Nathaniel Cross, but her hand was already seized by him in mid-air.

The two just stared at each other, one with desolation, the other with mockery!

Nathaniel Cross slightly exerted force on his hand, pushing the frail Olivia Blake onto the ground. "If you don't strip, I will!"
