Chapter 9: A Secret Buried Deep

Seeing Vivian Kane sitting on her own suitcase, Olivia Blake quickly rushed over with a smile, "I'm really sorry, darling. I worked too late last night and overslept!"

Vivian Kane sneered, examining Olivia Blake and the little "marks" on her neck. "Hmm, you did really work late. Aren't you scared that your icy husband will break your 'silicone'?"

Olivia Blake's mouth twitched at the corners, silently cursing in her head. This girl's "silicone" must have frozen and fallen off once.

In the coffee shop, Vivian Kane stirred her coffee while sizing up Olivia Blake, 

"You were going to get a divorce the other day, changed your mind again?"

"Nope, I'm going to divorce!" 

Straightened up, Olivia Blake took a sip of her coffee. She knew there was more to Vivian Kane's question.

"Sigh,"

Vivian Kane sighed deeply,

 "I don't know what to say to you. If you're determined, just make it quick and less pain. Why are you so reluctant? It's just going to cause you more pain."

"Enough about me. Why did you suddenly come back? How could your parents bear to let their precious daughter return?"

Vivian Kane grew up abroad, and when she was in high school, she became an exchange student and went to Olivia Blake's school due to some special abilities, where she helped Olivia Blake chase away a few hooligans and subsequently became famous.

"Of course they couldn't bear it, but I said I'm back to study business management. I also threatened not to take over the family business if they didn't let me come back, so they got scared!" Vivian Kane said proudly.

In fact, Vivian Kane still has an elder brother, who has no interest in the family business and has been travelling abroad, so the whole family has pinned all their hopes on her.

"Here, this is for you!" Vivian Kane pulls out a check from her bag and hands it to Olivia Blake.

"What for?"

 Olivia Blake gives it a puzzled look, not reaching out to accept it.

"Don't play dumb with me, okay?"

"I really don't need it. Put it away or I'll be upset!" 

She understands what Vivian Kane means and knows that she is trying to help her, but it's not time for that yet! If it comes to that point, she would accept it without hesitation because Vivian Kane is her best friend. 

When she's with her, there's no need to put on airs.

"Alright then, I'll keep it for now, but you mustn't be shy about it, okay?" 

Vivian Kane didn't insist, instead she kept the check.

"Great!" she replied, smiling.

"Olivia Blake?" 

At that moment, a woman wearing a duckbill cap and sunglasses stands in front of her, throwing a leather bag on the table.

Raising her eyes slowly, she was shocked. 

Olivia Blake is surprised to discover that it's not just anyone standing before her - it's Olivia, someone she's been running into for several days in a row.

"What do you want?" she asked.

"Aren't you going to check what's on the table first?" Olivia spoke in a deliberately lowered voice.

Before Olivia Blake could reach for it, Vivian Kane already opened the leather bag and couldn't help but let out a snicker. Inside were a pregnancy report and a few intimate photos of Nathaniel Cross and her.

"What's so funny?" Olivia was obviously irritated by Vivian Kane's laughter.

"Well...don't mind me. It's just my bad habit.

  When I see disgusting things, I can't help laughing instead of feeling nauseous," Vivian Kane continued, still giggling.

"You...?" 

Olivia was too angry to speak. She turned her attention back to Olivia Blake, 

"When are you planning to divorce Cross Nathaniel? You surely wouldn't want me to be pregnant, would you?"

"Are you sure you're pregnant?" 

Olivia Blake cast an up-and-down glance at Olivia several times. 

Ultimately, her gaze landed on Olivia's towering seven-centimeter shoes, 

"Are you not afraid that your shoes might hurt your baby?"

"Olivia Blake, you will divorce Nathaniel Cross immediately, or I will release the child and the photos publicly. 

“Don't blame me that I don't consider your reputation!"    Olivia exclaimed aggrievedly.

"No, no, don't be impulsive!" 

Olivia Blake immediately stood up, soothing the agitated Olivia, seeing her triumphant and scornful smile, her face suddenly darkened.

 "I see you still don't know that Nathaniel Cross is actually infertile!"

"What? How is that possible?"

 The color drained from Olivia's face, and she stepped back a few steps, "You're talking nonsense!"

"Don't believe me? You wait here, I'll go home and fetch the medical report for you to see. Otherwise, why do you think I have not been pregnant for such a long time?" 

Olivia Blake collected the photos and pregnancy test from the table and stuffed them back into Olivia's hands. 

"Take these things back. If you're not afraid of being embarrassed, you can feel free to make it public. If Nathaniel Cross acknowledges your child, that’s good. If he doesn't and you are accused of slander, then it will be trouble. The most important thing is who is the father of the child in your belly. I think all your fans would love to know!"

Olivia did not expect Olivia Blake to say such a thing. 

She stood in place for quite some time before she recovered, 

"This child is Nathaniel Cross's! I know you're lying to me!"

"You are not the only girl who is involved with Nathaniel Cross. There are plenty of women out there who are with him. 

Why has no one ever revealed they have his child?" Olivia Blake raised an eyebrow and retorted, "If you really don't believe me, you can go ask Nathaniel Cross."

"Humph!" Olivia gave Olivia Blake an angry glance, grabbed the stuff, and turned around to leave, pressing her hat brim even lower.

Vivian Kane seemed to laugh yet not, quietly raised a thumbs up to Olivia Blake, "Girl, such a strong heart. You could lie on the fly even facing this tricky situation. But when are you going to tell Nathaniel Cross about that?"

"Why should I tell him? We'll soon become uninvolved. Less is better!"

 Olivia Blake casually responded while sipping her coffee, but she didn't realize that her fingers quivered a little out of the blue. 

She knew what Vivian Kane was referring to—it was about the fact that she had gotten pregnant two months into her marriage with Nathaniel Cross. 

However, she had secretly gone abroad and gotten an abortion.
