Chapter 3: A Game of Power and Pain

Upon hearing Olivia Blake's words, Nathaniel Cross's document in his hand was aggressively thrown out, leaving everyone in the office too scared to even breathe, ducking their heads unanimously.

The assistant quickly picked up the files from the floor, placed them back in front of Nathaniel Cross, and then stepped back.

"Olivia Blake, I think you must be tired of living!"

"That's right, I am tired of living. But what can I do? You won't let me die, you don't agree to divorce. Everything you have done against our Blake family, I will remember. Since you want to torment me, then torment me to the extreme! In the end, I'm your lawfully wedded wife and others will only say I'm a daughter-in-law of the Cross family! Nathaniel Cross, we either solve this peacefully, or we torture each other like this, throughout our lives until we can't separate even in death."

Olivia Blake was almost grinding her teeth as she spat out these words!

The look in Nathaniel Cross's eyes become extremely icy cold, his expression distorted, as if Olivia Blake had ripped open his ugly inner self and exposed it under the sun.

He knew that Olivia Blake must have returned to the Blake house. He was aware that she must know about him repossessing the house. He thought she would come back begging, but he didn't expect her to threaten him, threatening that she will haunt him for a lifetime.

"So, you don't love me anymore?"

"I said long ago that I don't love you. Nathaniel Cross, what do you have that's worth loving? You belittle me so much, should I still love you? Then, I would be a real masochist!" She calmly said these words, but internally, her heart was tumultuous.

She could easily claim not to love him, but she couldn't do that. Even though she repressed the Blake family and she still fiercely loved this man who despised her.

The anger on Nathaniel Cross's face was on the brink of explosive, and that sentence of her saying she doesn't love him anymore pushed everything off the edge. Half a year ago, she was begging him to marry her, kneeling down humbly, just to stay with him, telling him she loved him,. Now she said she doesn't love him.

He lifted the corner of his mouth into a charming smile, sketching a perfect grin, "If I told you to dare not love me, I would have your entire family kneel at my feet, what will you do then? I want to see you at the company in ten minutes!"

Nathaniel Cross's words were like a sedative shot straight into Olivia Blake's heart, which was then ruthlessly ripped out.

He always knew her weakness, grasping her Achilles' heel.

As long as she shows the slightest rebellion, he would skin, drain and bone her!

Ten minutes later, Olivia Blake, in her high-heels, made her way to the conference room of the Cross Corporation.

When she pushed open the door, Nathaniel Cross just sat there, completely unperturbed, not even bothering to lift his gaze. He seemed so indifferent, as if he didn't care about her presence at all. However, he knew she would show up.

Olivia Blake cast her eyes down, only to find a hint of smug amusement on Nathaniel Cross's face who, despite his indifference, seemed to be amused. His cool demeanor towards her has never changed over time.

She sat down next to Nathaniel Cross, handed her business plan over to the assistant, before she started explaining it with lovely and amiable demeanor.

All the while, from the moment she returned to the office till the end of the meeting, Nathaniel Cross didn't lift his eyes to glance at her, nor did he utter a word. Then, he left the room directly.

After tidying up all her documents, Olivia Blake stood at the entrance of Nathaniel Cross's office, overhearing suggestive whisperings. She could imagine what was going on inside.

Unlike before, she didn't just turn and leave. Instead, she reached out and pushed the door of the office. Immediately, a woman, flamboyantly dressed, was there sat on top of Nathaniel Cross. Her clothes had been disheveled and her hair was a mess.

Strangely, Nathaniel Cross looked just as composed as ever as if nothing inappropriate just happened.

"Eh?" The woman seeing Olivia Blake walk in let out a horrified scream, hurriedly trying to straighten her clothes while making an attempt to get off him.

Nathaniel Cross, almost purposely, grabbed hold of the woman's leg, hindering her movement. Continuing his provocation, he stared at Olivia Blake and asked, "Is there something you need? Don't you know the basic courtesy to knock before entering?"
