Seventy- eight

Martha

I came into the room, holding some medium sized cans in my hands.

Alex frowned, looking down at them. “Where did you get those from?”

“The garage, outside! There were a lot of unopened cans and I just thought…” I trailed off, gesturing towards the room.

He deadpanned. “You…want to paint the whole house,” the way he said it was more like a question than a statement, but I ignored his dry tone.

“Not the whole house, silly. Just this room. There’s a fine shade of lavender here, that I would love to try,” I told him excitedly.

With nothing to do here, what better way to spend time, than to paint?

“Are you sure about that? I mean, yeah the house was gifted to us, but is it really okay that we paint it?” He asked cautiously. “I mean, we need some tarp and covers to protect the bed and we need to move a few things…”
