“I’ll think about your offer, after I’m done with what I came here to do. Currently, I’m not really in the state to make such big decisions,” I told Andrew politely, hoping that it was enough to satiate him, but alas, I was wrong.

“What did you come to do here, then? I realize that I haven’t asked you the reason you came to Netherand. You don’t seem like the type to have business here,” his gaze narrowed at me and I tried my best to calm down.

I wasn’t even doing anything wrong, but the way he pinned me down with his look made me feel a little nervous.

“You’re right. I don’t have any business here. I came to find answers concerning my past, that’s all,” I replied simply with a shrug.

His piercing hazel eyes bore through me, like he was searching for something. A lie, at most.

“Why bother about the past? You can’t undo the mistakes and what you’ve been through, so why dwell on it, when you can just continue on in the future?” He raised a sharp brow.
