Hyun Seo: Seriously? No one likes me!

Clara

He heard that name before.

What happened between her and Tae Jin?

Chae Joon thought, now his attention on Tae Jin and what he was about to share.

Great, Se Jong was now free from his burning gaze.

"I and Clara......."

"Hold on!, Who's Clara?" Hyun Seo interrupted, looking confused.

Who was this Clara?

Looks like everyone knew about this Clara except him.

And........was this the truth he desperately wanted to know?

"Someone from Tae Jin and Shin Hye's former school" Se Jong answered, feeling tired to give more details.

"An America?" Hyun Seo asked and he answered,

"Yes"

"We were friends. Clara caught me once talking to a ghost" Tae Jin said and once again, Hyun Seo interrupted,

"Hold on, a ghost?" He (Hyun Seo) asked,

What the heck was this about?!

Ghosts?

Where was this going?!

He was so confused!

"She got interested in me because she was interested in paranormal and supernatural stuffs. She followed me everywhere. I told her I didn't want anyone to find out about me"

Tae Jin continued, ignoring Hyun Seo.

Find out about him?

What was he talking about?

He (Hyun Seo)......was so confused!

"She never let out the secret. First year in high school,.......a month later or so, Clara's mom died. In an accident. She couldn't get over it and wouldn't let me close to her. I wanted to comfort her but she wanted to be alone. For a whole week, she didn't come to school. Locked herself in her room"

Oh, that was......so sad.

Shin Hye thought, staring at Tae Jin.

"One day, a woman came to me. She was a ghost. That was the same day the class organized a birthday party for Joe"

Joe, he was their classmates but she and Tae Jin were not close to him.

"Who's Joe?" Hyun Seo asked, still confused.

But then,.....he was getting the story, right?

Author: Don't ask us, we don't know.

"She said something about Clara thinking of  committing the unthinkable" Tae Jin said, ignoring Hyun Seo's question before but, he didn't seemed to mind.

In fact,.......he asked another question.

A stupid question in Se Jong's book.

Se Jong: Seriously?

Author: Just shut up.

"Unthinkable?" Hyun Seo asked and Se Jong answered,

"Suicide Hyun Seo. Suicide"

"Oh, okay. Still, where's this going?" Hyun Seo asked, and again, Tae Jin ignored him, continuing.

"I didn't pay attention to her because I was trying my best to look normal. To look ordinary. I didn't want anyone to find out about me. I didn't want to be the odd one out"

Tae Jin.....he went through and she didn't even notice.

Shin Hye thought, a sad expression on his face.

"About to go to the birthday party, I decided to check on Clara. I was worried. With her mother's help, I got to the house and she showed me her room as well. When I went in,......I realize I was late"

"Clara died?" Hyun Seo asked in shock.

"No. She lay on her bed. Blood on the sheet...........she attempted to kill herself. Her.......she cut her wrist" Tae Jin said, looking sad and guilty.

How did she (Clara's mother) find out that he could see ghosts?

Tae Jin never found out.

They (Tae Jin and Clara's mother) never got the chance to talk about it.

"Immediately, I took her to the hospital and I stayed with her until her father came back"

Still, Tae Jin didn't leave.

He never left her (Clara) side.

"All these happened and you never told me about it?" Shin Hye asked, feeling sad.

How could he hide this from her?

Tae Jin went through so much and he never shared.

How did he handle everything?

"Clara woke up the next day and, I told her about her mother. I gave her the message, 'You'll be fine my daughter. I'll be watching over you. Be strong and you'll get over this (Her death) I love you', this was her mother's message and she received it" Tae Jin said, after taking a deep breath, he continued,

"She (Clara's mother) was still here after her death because she had an unfinish business with her daughter. She wanted Clara to get the message before leaving"

"I promised to give her the message when she woke up. She trusted me and so, she decided to cross over. She crossed over that night.....and the next day, Clara woke up and I gave her the message"

"How did she take it?" Shin Hye asked.

She had to know this to continue her plans.

"She didn't say a word. I apologized but she didn't respond. I thought she didn't want to talk with me because she was angry. I thought she didn't want to see me and so,..... I left. Afterwards, I never saw her again. Not in school or where we used to hang out"

Oh, so,.....this was the first incident Tae Jin talked about.

Se Jong thought, looking at Tae Jin, a sad look on his face.

"A week after your grandma's death, the rumors spread around. That morning I was talking to Clara, one of her classmates heard our conversation and found out I can see ghosts. She spread the news and everyone started acting differently. Treating me bad"

This......was definitely the second incident. 

Se Jong thought.

"I never believed them but then, no matter what I did, I still couldn't help you" Shin Hye said, feeling sad.

"Don't be sad" Tae Jin said, giving her a smile.

"So that's why your soul was so depressed and you suffered from fever" Chae Joon said and Tae Jin nodded.

Letting him know that, he was right.

"After everyone found out about me, they started treating me bad. Making fun of me. Clara never came around. She didn't call me or text me and I was too afraid to do that. I felt really guilty. I thought she was angry with me. She never said that or that she hated me, but I didn't want to hear it from her" Tae Jin said.

From what she just learnt, she can still go on with her plans right?

Well, first, she had to find out if Clara really was angry, still angry with him (Tae Jin)

Shin Hye thought.

"Okay, I didn't quite understand but I got the story. And....... I don't think you did the right thing Tae Jin. You should help others" Hyun Seo said,

"But what about me? They were cruel to me. They didn't try to understand or believe me. To them I wasn't human! Not like them! And I...... am just a little different" Tae Jin said, overwhelmed with sadness.

*Sigh, Hyun Seo sighed before saying, "I understand you Tae Jin and I understand her as well. You knew the right way to make her feel a little better but you didn't. Knowing about her mother would have made Clara feel a little better. You could have helped them communicate with each other, but you didn't.

"You gave up too soon. So what if she didn't want to see you or talk to you after her mother's death, you should have pushed her! Reminded her of who you are. You can see ghosts right? Then....she could talk to her mother, but you didn't"

Hyun Seo.......Hyun Seo was right.

He (Tae Jin) really gave up too soon.

He thought giving Clara some time alone would be better......but he was wrong.

"I understand you Tae Jin, you wanted acceptance. You wanted to have an ordinary life. You didn't want to be the weird one out. But how long are you going to keep this to yourself? You're special Tae Jin. And your ability can help a lot of people. You helped that ghost mother and her daughter, Clara. Because of you, am pretty sure they found peace. You can do that for a lot of people" Hyun Seo said and they (Tae Jin, Se Jong, Shin Hye, Jay, Chae Joon) stared at him, surprised.

What? What was going?

Why were they staring at him like that?

Hyun Seo thought, staring at his friends (Tae Jin, Se Jong, Shin Hye and Jay)

"I........." Tae Jin, couldn't let out another word.

He was in shock.

*Sigh, Hyun Seo sighed, ignoring the expression on their faces,

"And if you're worried about others, don't be. How long are you going to worry about others? If they don't like you because you're a little different, you have us. I, Se Jong and Shin Hye, Jay too right?"

Hyun Seo asked Jay, speechless, he (Jay) nodded,

"Yes, Jay too,.....we will always be with you. And ..........if you didn't have us, you still have to help a lot people. Clara didn't die but look at the amount of guilt you feel, what if she really died? What if it was someone else and they died? Will you be able to live in peace? No"

"So, even if you have no one, your family doesn't accept you, you still have to do this. Help people. Do it for yourself. Do it for the people you don't know but know you'll be helping them. You might not know them, but there's comfort when you show love, concern. There's peace when everyone is happy and enjoying their lives" Hyun Seo said and once again, they were stunned.

Hyun Seo......he....

"You just said some pretty sensible words" Se Jong said and Shin Hye added,

"For the first time"

"What?!" Hyun Seo asked, surprised.

What the heck did they take him for?!

"I'm in shock" Tae Jin said.

"Okay, I still don't understand. Tae Jin, what you just shared about this Clara and you, is real, right?" Hyun Seo asked and they all sighed,

"Okay, he's still stupid" Shin Hye said.

"Hold on! You can see ghosts? I'm confused! How did that happen? When? Where?!" Hyun Seo asked, surprised.

Was this the truth they were hiding from him?

He was the only one who didn't know?

What?!

"Someone explain it to him" Tae Jin said, looking tired.

"I can't" Se Jong replied, surprising Shin Hye.

"Hold on! you can also see ghosts Se Jong?"

"Yes" Se Jong replied, shocking her even more.

What?!

"Why didn' anyone tell me before?!!!" Shin Hye yelled out.

She didn't know Se Jong could see ghosts as well.

Hold on, did Jay know?

She thought and looked at Jay who gave her an awkward smile, the expression on his face also sent the message, 'Sorry'

Oh, she got the message but she was still pissed.

When was he going to tell her?!

Also,......and she looked at Tae Jin, 

Tae Jin didn't tell her about Chae Joon when they were talking earlier!

"Okay! let's just continue the game" Hyun Seo said, surprising them, again.

Seriously? 

"Aren't we done?" Se Jong asked, a frown on his face.

He was just so tired!

"Shin Hye, Truth or Dare?"Hyun Seo asked her, totally ignoring Se Jong.

"Huh? Why me?" Shin Hye asked.

"Just answer!"

"Fine, Dare" Shin Hye said, surprising Hyun Seo.

Dare?

She choose dare?

He didn't think she would.

What happened?

Well,.......in any case, he had the perfect 'dare' for her.

Hyun Seo thought, smiling.

He was definitely planning something.

That smile,.....the look in his eyes, said it all.

What was he planning?

Shin Hye thought, staring at a smiling Hyun Seo.

"Great, I dare you to.........."
