"Coming!" Hee Young yelled out after another knock.

A deep frown on her face, she opened the door and was in shock, seeing who it was.

"You?" She asked and it was more of a statement.

"Yes, is me" Shin Joon, Shin Hye's father said, smiling.

Seriously?

"What are you doing here?" She asked, angry.

What exactly did he want now?!

"Ms Park sent me. And I.........I also wanted to know how you're doing now. How's life? Without my help"

"Go away!" She yelled out.

"No, we'll be a family sooner or later. Let's just get along" he said, smiling.

Hearing that, Hee Young smirked, saying, "No, guess what,........Tae Jin and Shin Hye broke up. They're not together anymore"

"What?!" Shin Joon asked in shock.

Oh, he didn't know?

"Yes. Nothing you do will bring us together. We will never become that... 'One Big Family' and this is the last time you come here. Don't come near us again. You and Ms Park. Stay away from us!"

"This is not the end" Shin Joon said in anger.

A smile playing on her lips, she said, "It is and there's nothing you can do. Goodbye Shin Joon" before slamming the door on his face.

Shin Joon was angry.

Scared.

What now?

She'll have his head!

That daughter of his!

That......That girl ruined his plans!

Shin Hye...........

"You're done for!" He said in anger, finding it hard to breath.

Still at Jay's house, outside on the stairs leading to the front door sat Shin Hye and Jay.

Closer to each other.

Shin Hye held his hand, head on his shoulder as they enjoyed the night.

The..... fresh air.

The moment.

"How did you and Si-Yeong meet?" Shin Hye asked, curious.

Jay never told her about that.

"Well,........I met her when I was 12, we've been together since then. She never left my side" Jay said, smiling.

Watching him, Shin Hye smiled.

"That day.........I remember, it was friday. In the evening. A little girl ran into our house. My grandmother's house, I was staying with her that time. I stood a few steps away from the front door, waiting for my grandmother to come home and I watch her enter through the door. Without opening it. I wasn't surprised cause I knew about ghosts"

"She looked horrified, crying and she ran towards, hugged me. 'Save me' she said through tears. Right then, I saw my future with her. And I decided to help her.  Well, I helped her solve her problem"

What?

"Then, why is she still here?" Shin Hye asked.

"She had an unfinish business with her parents. She wanted to say goodbye herself before crossing over. And so, she became a hunter of evils ghosts. Gained all the rewards and.......said goodbye to her parents. She showed herself to them and did just that. But then,......she wanted to help other ghosts as well. Both ghosts and humans. So, she decided to stay a bit longer"

"She's a good kid" Shin Hye said, smiling and he smiled as well, saying,

"She is and am happy to be her special one"

He was her special one.

Shin Hye wasn't surprised.

.............Thinking about it now,.......

"Then,.....that time you didn't want to go to school with me. You said you had something to do before going to school. You were not lying?"

"No"

"I thought you lied about that because you didn't want to go to school with me"

"No, I really had something to do. We were going to meet a woman. We helped her connect with her dead husband. At night, we go out searching for evil ghosts to kill. Well, she does the killing"

"I still can't believe that girl is a hunter of evil ghosts. She's so....."

"Small?"

"Little!"

"She's strong and she always protect me" Jay said, smiling.

"She must be so tired. She has been sleeping all day"

"Yea"

"She did not have dinner either. Is that right?" Shin Hye asked, worried about

Si-Yeong.

"Is fine. Just then..........." And before Jay could complete his words, Shin Hye got a call, interrupting.

"Excuse me" she said, raising up her head from his shoulder before taking her phone out of her pocket.

Knowing who it was, she immediately picked up the call.

"Hello dad"

"Did you break up with Tae Jin?" Shin Joon asked, angry.

Right.

She hasn't told him about it.

*Sigh, she sighed before replying,

"Yes dad. We..."

"Why did you?! You love him right?!"

What the........Why was her father so upset about it?

"I love someone else. And am dating that person now"

"You've been in love with Tae Jin since you were kids! That can't change now! Those feelings can't go away easily" Shin Joon yelled out.

"Dad!" 

"I'll talk to Tae Jin right now! Don't mess this up again!!"

"Dad! Wait! Dad?!"

He hung up!

His dad hung up!

What? What was he saying?!

"I guess your dad doesn't like me" Jay said with a sad smile.

"No, is not about you. Don't worry" Shin Hye tried to console him.

What was going on?

Why was her father acting this way?

Did he like Tae Jin that much?

Still in the room, on his study table, Tae Jin got a call from Shin Joon and he immediately picked up.

No hesitation.

His hyung was out to get water so it was just him in the room.

That's why he picked up the call.

"Hello, Mr Shin"

"Oh, Tae Jin. How are you doing?"

Wow!

That calm friendly tone of his was really annoying him (Tae Jin) considering what he knew.

"Fine. Thanks for asking" Tae Jin replied, rolling his eyes.

"Great. I'm glad to hear that you're fine"

"Why did you call?"

He should just get this over with.

Tae Jin was not in the mood for games.

"Oh yes, I heard you and my daughter broke up. Why? You promised to take care of her. And after everything I did for you and your parents, I never thought you'll do this to me" Shin Joon said and the hurt, disappointment in his tone couldn't be missed.

Okay, he (Shin Joon) was not having his way this time.

"You can't blackmail me like this Mr Shin. I'm grateful for everything you did for me though you didn't do it with a good heart. I appreciate your kindness but your intentions behind it........"

"What are you talking about?" Shin Joon asked, surprised and a bit scared.

Tae Jin noticed it.

"I know you helped my family just so we'll feel indebted to you. Just so we'll take your side when the truth comes out" Tae Jin said, refusing to hide anything.

"You......"

"I know what you did. And I also know that, you agreed for us to date just to keep me close to you. Just to use me against my parents. You can't do that anymore Mr Shin. I know everything now"

"You!" Shin Joon yelled out, angry and surprised.

How come Tae Jin knew everything?

Did Sun tell him?

Or........Was it Hee Young?

"And you'll pay for everything. Thanks for everything. Goodbye now"

"You!....."

And Tae Jin hung up, placing his phone on the table.

*Sigh, he sighed, exhausted.

He did the right thing right? He asked himself.

Right then, Hae Jin entered through the closed door, heading for the bed.

Getting on it, he leaned against the bedframe and looked at Tae Jin who wasn't looking okay.

Was he that tired?

"Tae Jin, are you done studying?" He asked and Tae Jin looked at him, a smile on his face.

"Yes" he answered.

Arms opened, Hae Jin said, "Come here, rest for a while and then continue"

"Hmmm" Tae Jin replied. Smiling, he made his way to his boyfriend.

His boyfriend.

Crazy right?

Tae Jin never thought of getting a boyfriend and now he had one.

One he believe he loved.

These feelings he had for Hae Jin, if it wasn't love then he did not know what to call it.

Love, was the only word he could think of as a name for his feelings.

Now in his (Hae Jin) arms, he hugged Tae Jin tight, gently caressing his hair.

"Hae Jin" Tae Jin called out to him and he answered,

"Yes"

"What will you do if you found out that, your friend's father is a bad person? Will you tell your friend?" Tae Jin asked.

"That friend is very important right?"

"Yes"

"Then you have to tell them. Keeping the truth isn't always better. And in this case, your friend have to know the truth. Even if it'll hurt. They have to know to prepare themselves to face their father"

"That's your opinion"

"Yes" 

"I see" Tae Jin replied.

What was this about? Hae Jin thought before asking,

"What's going on? Is this about Se Jong? Hyun Seo or Shin Hye?"

"Is about Shin Hye. Her father.....is a bad person. He has been using me to keep my parents close to him. As his accomplices. And I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should tell Shin Hye or not"

Oh, now this was new.

What happened?

"What did her father do?" Hae Jin asked, curious.

"All the properties he's got now, except the hospital my mom used to work in"

"Used to?"

"Yes, I found out........my mom no longer works for Mr Shin. All along I thought she did. I thought my father worked there too. But it turns out, my father stopped working there a month or so after I left for the states. And some days later, my mom resigned as well. All along, I felt indebted to the man, thinking he was helping my parents"

"That's horrible" Hae Jin said.

Tae Jin went through so much.

Even dated Shin Hye to please her parents but it turns out, his parents weren't even in the picture.

Why didn't they tell him anything?

They should have told him the truth.

And Shin Hye's father, why did he hide it?

"My mom wanted me back, but then, I didn't want to come back. She tried to come there but Shin Hye's father always interfered with the power he had. She never talked about this or said a word about it. Shin Hye's father promised not to touch me. And my mom, she wasn't in a good situation to take care of me either, after the divorce. She never tried to get me back. However, she never forgot to check up on me"

Seriously?

Her kid was in danger and she did nothing? 

Because the bad person promised to never hurt her son?

Because she wasn't in a good situation to take care of her son herself?

She tried?

That wasn't enough!

Wasn't an excuse!

Also, if she knew all this why didn't she ask for help from Tae Jin's dad?

Seriously?

What was she thinking?!

Hae Jin really wanted to meet her and talk some sense into that thick head of hers!

He (Hae Jin) was so angry!

And it showed on his face.

"My mom wanted me back, not only because my father wanted to see me but also because I was in danger. Mr Shin, and his family, only they knew where I was"

Tae Jin's mom could have asked when she called.

Asked Shin Hye's mother!

Seriously!

What was that woman thinking?!

Was she okay in the head?!

"And it turns out............" Tae Jin began, gaining his attention.

"What?" He (Hae Jin) asked.

*Sigh, Tae Jin sighed, "I don't want to talk about it right now"

"Oh, okay. Anytime you're ready. I'm always here" Hae Jin said even though he really wanted to know more about Shin Hye's father and what he did.

"Can we just focus on ourselves?" Tae Jin asked with a smile, looking up at him.

"Ourselves? You have to study'

"Enough about that Hae Jin. Tell me something I don't know. Something I really want to hear"

"Like" Hae Jin caressed his face, continuing, "......how much I love you?"

"Hmmm" Tae Jin hummed, eyes closed as he felt his touch.

"How cute and handsome you are?"

"Go on" he (Tae Jin) replied and Hae Jin smiled.

"How smart and cool you are?"

"I'm liking this"

"How....... amazing you are?"

"More Hae Jin, more Hae Jin........"

"Enough, am done" Hae Jin said, smiling, pushing him away before sitting up on the bed.

Doing the same, Tae Jin stared at Hae Jin, pouting.

Cute.

Hae Jin thought, smiling.

"Then,.... I'll say something"

"What?"

"You're amazing. Cute, very cute" Tae Jin said, smiling.

A playful frown on his face, Hae Jin said, "I don't like being called me"

"But from me, is okay. Because am special" Tae Jin said, smiling and he (Hae Jin) smiled back.

"Very special" he (Hae Jin) replied.

Tae Jin.......

He was special to him (Hae Jin).

In fact, Tae Jin had no idea, how special he was to him (Hae Jin)

"You're special to me Tae Jin. Don't forget that"

"I think this is far more better than flirting" Tae Jin said and he asked,

"We were flirting?" smiling, like he didn't know they were on that path earlier.

"What do you know hyung?"

Oh, he (Tae Jin) called him hyung.

"You're just so cute" Tae Jin said.

Staring at him, Hae Jin blurt out, "I like it when you call me hyung. Is hard to discard it right? You've been calling me one for so long"

"And if you don't mind, sometimes, I'll call you that"

"I don't mind. I feel your true feelings behind it. And that's why I love when you call me 'hyung' he (Hae Jin) replied, smiling.

Tae Jin could not stop staring at him (Hae Jin)

His hyung's smile, got his heart racing like never before.

Suddenly, he felt hot and it was really hard to breathe.

But then,........he couldn't stop staring at him.

That smile of his,........Tae Jin loved it.

" I love you" he blurt out, surprising Hae Jin.

But that lasted for a second.

A smile came on his (Hae Jin) face and he replied,

"More than you do"

Hearing this, Tae Jin smiled and gently, loving, caressed his cheek.

He.....He never let Hae Jin go.

No matter what the price was.
