The sound of the Violin

Kesley and her mother went out to visit a family friend. Scarlet did not follow them, she stayed back at home. She did not feel like going out. She took her violin and went to the backyard of their house with a chair.

She started playing the violin, she was sad and depressed, and as she was playing the violin she was reminiscing about her past with Jackson. The neighbors around came out to know who was playing the violin some enjoyed it while some complained. through the sound of the violin, the listener could feel that she was resentful towards something. She played the violin for about thirty minutes and stopped.

The next day Scarlet and Kesley went to the shopping mall to buy the clothes they were going to wear for their graduation.

They entered one of the best shopping malls in the city.

" Yes, how may I help you"One of the sales girls said.

" We need a gown and gin trousers"

" Ok this way," The lady said directing them to where they will select their choice of cloth.

They were done with making their choices, paid for the clothes, and left.

They went back to their house and began to arrange their belongings because they were going back to their pack after their graduation.

"Scarlet what will be the first thing you will do when you reach your pack? "

" I don't know"

"Oh my goodness"

"What's it, Kesley"

" I forgot, Axel, is hosting a party"

"So"

She check the time, it was half past nine in the evening

"Get dress Scarlet"

" No, am not going"

" Please scarlet, is just for fun"

" Ok, but I will not participate in anything"

"I won't force you"

Kesley rushed to her room and wore one of her best short gowns, blue in color.

She applied her makeup, and she applied hair cream to her hair, making it look tidy.

"Scarlet I'll be waiting for you in the sitting room.

" Ok, am almost done"

A few minutes later Scarlet came downstairs. She pretended to a casual dress but still looked pretty in it.

The party has already started, and many people came to the party.

" Who hosted this party, Kesley?"

" My classmate, Axel"

" I don't think I know him"

"What, you do not know Axel, Axel is one of the popular and hot guys in school, and his parent is wealthy"

"Ok"

"Hey girls I thought you guys wouldn't come"

"That's not possible, I can't miss parties"

" What of you Scarlet"

"Am not comfortable"

"Why"

"I don't know, or maybe because is not lively"

"It's because the party has not fully started, see we are going to be playing games"

"Not interested"

"Only for those who registered for it"

"We have swimming games, Truth and Dare, dance with your partner, and playing of musical instrument.

" I think Scarlet should participate in the last one"

"Kesley is right, Scarlet, this is the moment to show us your talent'

" Scarlet did not answer and just ignored them"

" Am leaving you guys for now"

"ok"

The first part of the game started which was the swimming game. The rule was that the Mc will pick the names of those who registered for the game, from the boys and girls. The winner has the right to do anything to the loser.

"I can see that many will break up tonight"

" Kesley am not comfortable"

" Why Scarlet, and stop this attitude of yours, is not as if you registered for the game and by the way is just for fun, we are just here to have fun so relax, ok"

The first set of people was the boy that one won, he touched the girl's body which made the boyfriend angry.

"Steven that's enough"

"Why did you allow your girlfriend to register am just following the rules Danny"

"Camille come out of there" he jumped into the pool and carried his girlfriend.

They played the game for about an hour and started to play truth and dare. The game had disadvantages and advantages because the girls and boys who have hidden their feelings for each could confess their feelings.

Kesley left scarlet for a while, Scarlet decided to go into the house to see if anything interesting was going on.

She check the balcony and met a couple smooching each other. She excused herself and left, she was not familiar with the house. She followed the direction of the music playing inside the house, she opened the door on her left-hand side and went in, she saw art and family pictures hanging on the wall and was admiring she turned her back to see what was on the other side of the room and caught people snogging each other on the sofa. She tiptoed trying to leave silent but matched an object which made a sound. The guy raised his head he saw scarlet and gave the girl he was smooching a sign to leave.

" Hi am Axel and you are?"

"Am scarlet, sorry for disturbing you guys, let me go and call her back, am leaving"

He held her back and sat her down

"There is no need for that, you are"

"What do you mean by that"

" Never mind, so are you enjoying the party?"

"Yeah, it's... It's ok"

"Am glad you are enjoying it"

"Have we met before"

" No, am leaving"

Axel pulled her to the sofa and brought down her jacket, Scarlet forcefully pushed Axel and he fell, she went closer to him and touched him but he did not move, she panicked, she opened and saw Clark and Kesley.

" Where have you been Scarlet?"

Clark peeked inside the room and saw Axel on the floor.

"What did you do"

" I didn't do anything, i... I... Was just trying to defend myself"

Clark went closer to Axel and noticed that he was still breathing.

"Don't panic Scarlet, he's alive"

The three of them left the room and went to where people gathered.

And they were done with all the events except playing the instrument.

"And now we are going to invite jackson, the best music student in our school"

"People clapped their hands welcoming Jackson on the stage.

"And now we will call upon Scarlet to play the violin for us"

Kesley clapped her hand making other people join her and took Scarlet to the stage.

"You can do this"

Scarlet took the violin and started playing, the melody of the violin was rhyming with the piano jackson was playing.
