Meeting him for the first time

"Today the restaurant is filled up with customers"

" Yeah, and am so happy about that," The manager said smiling.

" kesley"

"Yes"

"Never mind"

"ok"

Scarlet and Kesley began to serve the customers who had not gotten their orders.

After working for about two hours and they decided to rest for some time.

" Scarlet, what will you like to drink"

"Anything"

" Like whiskey"

" Anything except alcohol"

" I know, I was just joking"

" I have something to tell you"

" ok, this is for you and this is for me" she placed four bottles of soft drink.

" Isn't it too much"

" I didn't ask you to finish them, so tell me, what do you want to tell me?"

" Yeah, I spoke with jackson today after our music class"

"ok so what happened, what did you tell him?"

" I asked him about the rumors going on...

" And... "

" He said it was true, he said he was blessed to her found a perfect mate during the moonlight festival and that I don't deserve him"

" I'm the contrary he doesn't deserve you"

She patted the scarlet shoulder. Scarlet guzzled the drinks leaving only one for Kesley.

The restaurant became silent, and kesley wondered why, she looked towards the entrance of the restaurant. A very handsome young and muscular guy came in. Both males and females in the restaurant were staring at him.

" Scarlet you have work to do " Amanda shouted from a corner. She did not like scarlet, She always like to upset Scarlet, and she knew very well that scarlet was on break.

" Am coming"

" No, Scarlet you can stay let me do it"

" You don't have to worry, I can handle this"

Kesley knew that Scarlet was unhappy that's why she tried to insist to help her to serve the new customer that came in.

" Please place your order"

The young guy touched on a full page of the menu and left.

She looked at it and left, Scarlet has a strong retentive memory which was why she did not use a jotter to write down the order.

Mike who was jealous, and one of their regular customers left his table and sat at the new customer's table.

Scarlet brought the dishes and was setting them on the table well. When she was done she raised her head, and he raised his head which made them so close to each. The young guy's eyes were mesmerizing which made her immobile for a while.

Mike got angry, he have feelings for Scarlet which made him get jealous.

He caused the glass cup to fall on the ground. The young guy smiled, Scarlet went back to her sit and was looking at him from the corner of her eyes.

" How was it," kesley asked

" What are you talking about"

" Never mind"

Mike was disturbing the young guy

" What's your name"

" He ignored mike"

" You see this pretty and beautiful lady, she's mine, don't...

" You don't deserve her, you can have them"

Mike was dumbfounded by what he told him.

Kesley who heard them came to him laughing.

He was embarrassed and left the restaurant.

Few days before their graduation. Kesley and Scarlet get good grades.

The two girls sat in the sitting room watching their favorite movie. Kesley's mother came in and stood by watching them. She was happy to see them so close to each, but she wished they will stay close to each other because in her own time her best friend betrayed her.

She stood by the door for some time looking at the girls before she interrupted them.

"Scarlet, Kesley"

" They both turn in unison"

" Yes"

" You girls are so concentrated that you did not notice my presence"

" For how long mum"

"Does it matter"

"No"

"Come and join us aunt, there is enough space and we got popcorn, drinks, and..."

"No thank you, I won't disturb you guys"

"Don't say that aunt we will be happy if you join us" Scarlet said trying to persuade her.

" It's ok, Kesley your father has gone back to the pack, I forgot to tell you that"

"Ok"

" And you girls will be going back after your graduation, right?"

"Yes, mum, but why did he go all of a sudden"

"Mr . Hendrickson's beta son is getting married, and all the beta have to be there"

" Why didn't you go"

" I don't feel like going"

" Is it because of aunt Celine"

Kesley's mother did not answer her daughter, it was actually because of the woman that did not want to go, she was the woman who betrayed her when she was young.

" No kesley"

" Then what"

" It doesn't matter whether I go or not, after all, I gave an excuse"

"Kesley I need you to do something very important"

" I knew it"

"What"

" I knew you can not come here just like that without any intention"

"ok, please go to the market, take this list and credit card". She handed kesley the list and the credit card.

" What says the time"

" It's past nine pm"

" Are you sure that stores are still open"

" seventy percent sure"

"Let me accompany you"

"Thanks, dear"

The girls left and they were lucky enough to see an open store, they bought all that was on the list and left the store.

On their way back home they saw a shadow, they got scared and started walking fast, the shadow still followed.

Kesley got an idea and told Scarlet to hide beside the waste bin, while she will hide behind the wall of a store. They stayed there for some time and got tired, they did not see the shadow again. Kesley and Scarlet walked faster.

" Kesley the shadow is at our back"

" We are almost home didn't be scared"

They were a few kilometers from their house. The shadow reached Scarlet and touched her on her shoulders, she screamed so loud with fear which frightened the person.

" Why are you steaming, it's me"

Scarlet, you are too scared" kesley said laughing

" Is me Clark"

She rushed him and started him.

"Am sorry if I have frightened you guys"

"Apology not accepted"

" What should I do to be forgiven".

" Carry me at your back till we reach home"

They got home and Clark had dinner with them.

" Why were you following us? "kesley looked at him waiting for his response.

" I wanted to know where you were living"

" Is that all, or were you sent to spy on us? "

"Is on kesley" her mother said smiling at Clark.

They cracked jokes and Clark went back to his house.
