Chapter 57

When we reached the hall for the reception, we had a large crowd already assembled. They were waiting for us to make our entrance and start the dancing by getting on the dance floor. We walked in followed by Kenny and Kyra, then Stone and Alex with their dates.

Isaac pulled me close to him and led me to the dance floor. When we got there, we embraced each other for a slow song and started dancing, each staring into the other’s eyes as we swayed to the music.

While we danced, Isaac asked, “Are you okay?” I nodded, “Perfect. And you?” He smiled gloriously, “Absolutely perfect. I want you to know that I will spend every day for the rest of my life striving to be the mate you deserve.” I chuckled, “You don’t even have to try. I already feel that I don’t deserve you.”

He asked, “Is this going to be one of those sickeningly cute arguments couples have?” I threw my head back and laughed out loud, “Uh, no. We can save our children from that disgust.” He laughed, “You got it.”
