Chapter 56

I tried to smile without laughing out loud while Axel continued walking me toward my mate, my Alpha, my best friend, and my love, my Isaac. The closer we got to him, the more I could see his eyes glistening with unshed tears. When I reached my place on the stage, Axel kissed my cheek and walked to his place next to his mate.

When the crowd settled into their seats, Alpha Kenny started, “We are here tonight to witness the transfer of the Alpha power to my son, Isaac and to transfer the Luna power to his goddess-given mate, Zariah.” The crowd applauded wildly and Alpha Kenny allowed it until it died down.

He continued, “First, Isaac, do you swear to lead our pack with honesty, honor, courage, and fairness?” Isaac looked at his father with his chest pushed out in pride, “I do.” He asked, “Do you swear to protect our pack from all enemies and elements?” He answered, “I do.”

Alpha Kenny asked, “Will you swear to uphold our laws, but forge your own path on where you want our pack to follow?”
